Suggestion: Add some dirt road sections in the infield, to make it possible to host Rallycross events in the future. In Sweden and Finland, grassroot rallycross (Folkrace) is a really big sport and a great way to introduce people into racing. No need to make it fancy, just some very small jumps and a couple of turns. For Folkrace, the track shall be so twisty that the speeds does not exceed 80 kmh (50mph), so that might be a good guide :)

Cleet, you need a real land surveyor to come in and set finish grade stakes for all the asphalt work. I’m a licensed land surveyor that works for the Deprtment of Transportation in cali and I deal with contractors who “survey”, but really they’re just grade setters. Their work is shotty at best. The automatic machine guidance does work well but they need real data to go off of to calibrate their GPS systems. Finish grade stakes every 75’ for the asphalt would suffice. Also depending on how much water you take on regarding your drainage system, make sure you have adequate piping for the drains. The drain pipes should be on a grade with atleast a half tenth of fall every 100’ or so. If not you could end up with a serious pond in the center field. All things to consider while construction is underway. Hell, if you do end up with a pond during the rain maybe the Tracker could make it through, just a thought 🤪 🤷🏻♂️ The track is coming along nicely, keep it up we are all enjoying it.

That poor geo tracker xD I think the wheels are so big and floaty they make it want to go right side down. Get some small tires on there, like tractor tires for getting through the silt on the bottom. Maybe also add a weight plate to the bottom of the vehicle.

In 2015 I cleared a 120'x60' forested area by hand, pulled the stumps with a mini ex and a 1' wide bucket, then used it to dig the footings, and poured a 33'x55' 5"-6" slab. Ripped some of the trees I cleared with chainsaws and used them as the poles for the 32x48 polebarn. I started in June, got the roof on in November. Had to use a string level for the foundation and I got it within 1/2" the old fashioned way. Then last year I used a Terex extending boom forklift to stack shipping containers on concrete pilings formed in sonotubes, and built my house. Lived in the shop for the month the house was going together. What a metric shit on of work it is doing all of that with minimal equipment because I had to rent it all and the budget was tight. String level with the pilings and pour day was hectic as hell as the only people there who had done any concrete work were the guy driving the truck and myself. I operated heavy MHE/forklifts in the military, licensed on wheeled and tracked equipment so I could drive it all on airplanes like the C5 and C17. Grew up on a farm so I had an idea of how to go about all of he grading/construction. If I had just one guy with quality equipment the time needed would have been a couple weeks instead of several months for both projects. The good operators make it look soooooo easy. People just don't know what you guys do. I do.,..
