My uncle bought a nice 18 ft jet boat with a 460 Ford. He added nitrous and that was the beginning of the insanity. A few boats later he was up to an alcohol blown fuel injected texas tunnel hull V-drive. Single seat with a parachute. This was also in Tennessee from the late 80s to early 2000s. Great vid!!!

@@JasonRyanWilson I use to have a vacation home on Douglas lake. It's got to where the water seems just not too clean as it use to be. Cherokee is the same way. Norris is a beauty of a lake.

@@tnridge Powell Valley resort is a nice place to invest. It's on hwy 63 outside of Lafollette. Short drive from I75. Douglas and Cherokee have been known to have high mercury levels in their water. The TVA has always tried to do a good job. They just pay their people too much money lol.

Quick tip for you Cleeter, when boating like this if you can, try and always go up stream. That way if your boat does break down, you can always float her back. Ask me how I know ;)

Put in on the St. Croix up here in MN. (Stillwater) south w/current, met Miss. River in Prescott, WI. continue to Red Wing, MN. Stay at SUPER OLD St. James hotel (cowboy pics, 1800's antiques, COOL A.F.!). Head back in A.M. w/like ¾ tank...think "WOW, pretty good MPG!!" HA....HELL NO. Against current chugged more than a frat party beer bong!!! Stopped 2x for your (at the time) $5.25 per/gal. river gas. My point (yours is definitely right on, b.t.w., mine b.t.w. too...) B RING T he W ALLET!!!!!

@@jasonaldenhaley1 We were on the St Croix a few years back and got stopped by the Wis DNR in a no wake zone for idling to fast. I told the officer that was how slow my boat would go. He said he would ticket us if we didn't slow down, so I got out the auxiliary propulsion device (AKA paddle) he didn't see any humor in that and we both got ticketed for over speed in a no wake zone.

@@gereatricfolk479 you have to pay at the scene still?? Was in Interstate Park, car, to go cliff dying (when still legal on 'sconnie side) was going....ha...25mph in a 15mph zone. How it was then if you were outta state - pay right now or off to the big stoney lonesome. Dude was just a complete DICK too. Only time i had wished i WASN'T from MN...Ha!!
