I love this advent calendar. So many dies is what made it so expensive. Well worth it. I do wish it was the total 25 days of December like all other Advent calendars. The other 13 days did not have to be dies. It could have been her foil cardstock, paper samples, bows, sentiment tags, flourishes, or Christmas embellishments.

It's ok, just not sure if it's worth $89.95 .. even if they Lower the Price Tues. to $75 .. Wish she would've done other Shapes like Xmas Tree shapes, Snowman Shapes .. she did the Bauble/Ornament .. when u showed that 1 .. I was hoping there would be other shapes than just different Rectangle Designs. Since I unfortunately had a bad health yr & medical bills piled up, so no Xmas Present for me this year. Brought it but haven't opened yet. The small pieces are to make the hole on each tag for the twine to go through. I think there's a pack of cardstock in the same print as the inside cover in the back of the calendar box.

Hi Jennifer, that was pretty amazing to watch! I’ve never bought myself any advent calendar before and I haven’t seen any good ones like that over here that caught my fancy. I guess $72 sounds a lot of money, but you have 48 dies in that box 😮 so that in itself seems worth it. That small rectangular die is the eyelet for your ribbon/twine to thread through at the top of your larger tag die. Agree with what everyone else said. This is a really expensive advent calendar. But there are a lot of dies with lots of possibilities. It’s nice that the dies are layering dies. Or you can even make frames with them. I initially watched this video last night before bed and wanted to get it until I saw the price. But every time I woke up over night (which happened a lot), this advent calendar was on my mind. After watching this video a second time, I think I’m going to cave in and order it.

So glad to see you doing a thorough review of this first Advent (actually only Twelve Days) set for making gift giving holiday tags. Yes, beyond pricy. Go ahead and open it now. This is a Christmas gift set. The twine turns me off because it cheapens the look and may not complement as a color. The frame dies are concentric for each set, and very light weight. Avoid putting them under a too strong press. The paper stock is very light weight for both the frame cuts and the embellishments. Use a heavier weight cardstock in white to double the thickness of each tag by cutting an extra layer to the foiled frame cut. Frame shapes are very basic for the most part. Easy to find in my stash. Best part is the extra die for cutting an embellishment. The foiling is also pretty. My calendar box arrived badly damaged and torn apart. Spoiled the whole thing. The item is labeled on the outside of the package making the contents known. So beware.

I like the variety of eyelet shapes but I think they could have put in just one of the circle dies instead of repeating the same circle multiple times. I guess that tiny of a die doesn’t really add much to the cost, but do we really need multiples of the exact same die? They could have done one circle and then a few of the shapes and not included 12 eyelet dies.

I've bought the Crafter's Companion advent calendar every year.... I've been waiting to hear something and you say they aren't having one?? 🥲I know they had a lot of complaints but I liked them! $72 is a little much for me and only 12 days but the items are very nice. I have other tag dies.... the little tiny eyelets you called them are just if you are making tags to make the holes for the string or ribbon to hang them on a package. I'm going to buy the Diamond Press Advent Calendar their products are usually more reasonably priced for me.
