About half of Javanese vocabulary is derived from Sanskrit. Words like 'Yogyakarta' (ayodhyā; Rāma's capital + kṛta; 'accomplished'), 'senadyan' (yadyapi; 'although'), 'tapi' (tathāpi; 'but'), 'geni' (agni; 'fire'), etc. Even today, more than a millennium after the introduction of Sanskrit to Java, most Javanese people still have Sanskrit elements on their names, including me! 🙋‍♂️

Have you ever considered being a sanskrit tour guide for exclusive heritage tours like this? Since you enjoy travelling and you go to exotic locations from Europe to far east, with your sanskrit knowledge you could very easily start sanskrit speaking tours with spoken sanskrit and yummy food as accompaniments. I'm sure many of your global fans ( me inclusive) would be ready to pay a premium to join you on such beautiful tours 😊😊😊🙏🙏🙏

@@rasydanidan5397 No! There are many sects and beliefs in Hinduism. Some don't worship idols and also believe in just one God.

@@rasydanidan5397 @Rasydan Idan Brother , your comment is soo foolish...You are not proud of Hindu Belief....It means you are proud of Muslim Beliefs...First of all, you must understand what is Belief? Belief is something which is not yet real... So religion is a Belief system... Which is not real ( opposite of real is Belief)...So you are basically arguing on belief which is not true...Which is funny...Now you must have some knowledge on Hindu Dharma ( Sanatan Dharma )... Worshipping Idols is a tradition in Hindu... Many Hindu don't worship idols... many Hindu are Charvaka ( Atheist)... Sanatana Dharma doesn't destroy the beautiful Culture and Tradition of the region like Islam does.. Islam wipe out the tradition and Culture of the region... If you want to know about Hinduism you may see the video of Sadhguru , Hindu Academy by Jay Lakhani etc... You will be shocked that what you had known about Hinduism is totally wrong...

Such a beautiful informative video. Thanks much. With your beautiful yet simple explanation we got a joy ride of a different side of Indonesia that we hardly get to see. It is a tragedy that such a traditional vedic and cultural country has now become the largest muslim country due to forced conversions. Many in Indonesia and outside fo not even know these beautiful roots and cultural ethos of their own past. You have showcased everything so beautifully. Loved it. Keep up the great work

There are some parts of Southeast Asia that were Islamized be force, however for the most part, it was voluntary, driven by the kingdom's king and thus, the population followed to it.

they became muslim not because of forced conversion or war.. it's well known that it was because of trade. indian merchant from gujarat that brought Islam to that land. they show good attitude.. that's why lots of the kings at those times converted to islam. since the leader convert to islam, the citizen follow them.. it was peaceful conversion..

Ideally...the first intro sentnce should hv been.. "योग्यकर्ता नगरे स्वागतम्".. and not "नगरम्".. bcz the locative case singular fr the word नगर is नगरे...which literally translates to.. welcome in yogyakarta. Although English language has a grammatically correct way of sayin "welcome to yogyakarta"..in sanskrit..generally..d locative case is used than d accusative..fr eg..all stories begin with कस्मिन् श्चित् नगरे n all..d diffrnce is subtle but as u know d old story.. बाधति बाधते.🤣😂🤗..bt all is well that goes with the flow too..kudos fr ur effrts on thischannel
