Water Orton Station (Birmingham) on 19th October 1994
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Water Orton Station not far from Birmingham on the line to Burton On Trent and Derby. Filmed on the 19/10/1994. Heavily used by the Cross Country services mainly comprised of HST's making their way from the South and West to the North and V.V. Some mixture of traction was witnessed such as class 31, 47, 56, 58 and 60s plus the usual 150s and 158s. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually. Sit back and enjoy this latest production remembering all those now long gone Locomotive classes and other types of traction. Water Orton is a good station to spot at but has a shit service and now you have to pay to park

Your right about the shit service. First train from Birmingham arrives around 10 !! Hardly a full day out spotting !! Stopped driving there when car park started charging, I get the bus now as i can be there at 6 am if I need to be. Love the variety there. Not bad for pics.
