Thank you! It will last for 1-2 days if stored in an airtight container at room temperature provided you live in a cool climate (max 24 degrees C). For hotter climates you may want to refrigerate it

What is the difference between sponge cake pound cake and butter cake?

A pound cake is called so because traditionally it was made with equal quantities of butter, flour and sugar - a pound each plus 4 eggs. Butter cake has more butter in it and hence tastes buttery and melt in your mouth. Essentially pound and butter cakes belong to the sponge cake family. Some sponges can be dryish and prepared for the purpose of making trifles or any other dessert that soaks up a lot of liquid/moisture
