I plan to go Kyrgyzstan next year and wonder how you do the shared taxi. I mean how do you find a taxi that do shared taxi?

@@nattthongkumwong4818 We were going to Kyrgyzstan (Bishkek) from Kazakhstan (Almaty) There are a lot of private taxis at the edge of Almaty city in the direction of Bishkek. (Not far from "Altyn Orda" market if I remember it correctly) First we wanted to hitchhike to Kyrgyzstan with my friend, but all cars that stopped wanted to bring us for money. So, there is a car park around there where taxi drivers stay (with their private cars, not official taxis). We came there, there were 2 other ladies waiting, we decided to share the taxi together. Or it's possible to tell the taxi driver that you are ready to wait until more people come to share the cost. But the thing is that mostly people don't speak English in Kazakhstan, so it will be much easier if you have a Kazakh or Russian speaking friend with you. But the cheapest and quite comfortable option will be just to take a bus directly from Almaty to Bishkek.

0:50 What is the criteria to know whether a place needs a special permission or not?

I guess it's better to ask local people, local authorities to be sure if you need a special permit or not. I never climbed mountains like that but I heard that you need a special permission and your passport with you if a mountain is close to a border with another country (as in this case).
