For some reason I got insanely hooked on Space Age gameplay. Until I realized how trivial it was to conquer shit at least. That came right after I got dizzy from how many other species there were. I had ran into the same species multiple times on accident, and nuked a previous friendly faction… That is when I found out how easily others would crumble beneath me. My conquest lasted an hour before I stopped playing for 18 more years. All in all a week well spent

Surprisingly humans as well, this explains all the twerking. If an animal only have one hole for eating and pooping we say it poops from its mouth, not eat through its butt. At certain point of human development we have only one hole as well and that hole eventually becomes our anus. So we are a weird kind of animal who had only one hole initially and later made another hole on the opposite side specifically for eating. We are the animal with a mouth specialized in pooping and the butt specialized in eating.

This is my biggest gripe with Spore. Rather than multiple different builds that all work well for different purposes, there's always just one build that works for every stage in the game. In the cell stage, for example, it's mouth on front, small body, gigantic spikes on butt, and then whatever other parts you want. There's no benefit to not having the spike butt and the mouth on the front.

Spore has that funny way of becoming more and more and more broken the longer you have it installed, for no apparent reason but sheer fucking entropy. Just like Sims 3. To mention a minor one, we were quite confused when one day, a great many textures in cell stage and creature stage were replaced by a white void, never to come back (until reinstall and deletion of save files, just in case lol).

I remember I had a foolproof strategy for the civilisation phase as a warmonger, which- fittingly enough for this video, also invloved doing something rather counterintuitive It goes like this: you start by having the absolute minimum amount of vehicles and buildings required to for your nation to function (iirc roughly 8-10 vehicles total) Survive like this all the way to aircrafts and you basically won- because everything you didn't spend can now be dumped into making planes and achieving instant aerial supermacy This game is just never prepared for an army that's 90% airforce
