I Love Spore. I am about 70 and Been playing it since my adult son introduced it to me about 2006 or so.. It is one of the few I can play because of light and flicker sensitivity. I just wish they would take it more seriously for the fans and players by giving players more options for character parts in Creature Stage (MY favorite besides Space travel) and how involved and elaborate the creatures can become. I feel like I get cut off before I am finished creating. I wish there was an option to never leave the sea but evolve a civilization under water and they can come ashore to raid the land creatures and land creatures can swim down and fight them wearing air tanks they find on their adventures. Have the choice of Fight, friends or fantasy fun. I wish they would evolve the creature stage and find things to build stuff with from scratch as they go about the planet advancing their hold on it. building or destroying..., making friends or going to war... I wish they had a new option to evolve completely in Creature stage and get rid of Tribal stage and the others, just keep evolving and adapting as it goes forward just let the creatures evolve through their own efforts just like in Creature stage all the way to Space Age and beyond, finding their way just like people do. I do like the space travel stage. Love flying to new planets and finding my way through Space on missions and just exploring looking for habitable worlds and Artifacts. I wish Creature stage was more elaborate and serious really..

Listen Maxis/EA, let's talk rational. If you make a Spore 2.0 of some kind, you've got a bout 5,000,000 players of the first one willing to back you up. You could make a lot of money, so long as you managed to improve on Spore by adding new parts, stages and added a multiplayer of some kind. I would buy it, and the 1st Spore had about 4.5 million players not counting the people who bought it on Steam. Choose wisely, Maxis.

It's a MSP(Massively Single Player). If you have a internet connection, it will then grab content from the servers and randomly place it in your universe. You never actually play another player, you play with or against the creations of another player(if you enable it to do so).

I remember being up at 4 in the morning the day this game was released, watching this ad, I was pumped for months, my mom got us to Target at 6:00, and I purchased the game, and fell in love with it. Now I haven't played it in two years, and when I want to, the disk doesn't work because its scratched. Now I have to go to Gamestop, see if they even have a copy, and trade it for Resident Evil 5. Its gonna be worth it. :)

well, what many people don't realize was that spore is actually an engine with a game inside. Spore the game was a simplified version, the game darkspore cannot be created with spore: Galactic adventures, nut they use the same creature creator. I've played spore for a long time and, you're right, there isn't much game play in the campaign-thing. However, spore is about creating the creatures and buildings, and creating your own digital world, in a way.
