why not compare to running without a shirt?

It's amazing how un-biased that whole segment was. So objective. What, with the website of "where to buy" across the bottom of the screen, to the dramatic fall on the treadmill. Good stuff. And only $115 for an X-Bionic (great name) shirt. What a deal! I bet there's no way that a from fitting 100% cotton tshirt would do the same thing, costing so little by comparison. Especially since cotton magnetically bonds with water and pulls heat from the body in order to evaporate.

I've used this for two hockey games so far. kept me warm before warm up so I didn't have to skate so hard to get going. Normally sweat drips off my face into my visor and it fogs up half way thru. These games I was damp but no dripping, visor did not fog up, same on 2nd game in 2nd night. I am not fastest/youngest on either team but both nights guys commented on my effort. Arbitrary I know. don't know if compression works but definitely stayed cooler & lost less fluids. Only have top.

I've run for up to six hours under the scorching sun and the summer heat, and the tell tale signs of exhaustion due to heat and excessive sweating are mild to severe cramps in the big muscle groups of the legs,in my opinion.

I like when they do the side by side comparison how much slower the treadmill is for the xbionic.

Therefore I have to overheat then sweat enough to make it damp, then it starts to work about half way through the game. What I do now is wet the sleeves up to the shoulder, start to play then when I warm up I use a water bottle to wet the front & back. This way I am warm for pregame and it starts cooling as soon as I need it. I do not sweat as much, my visor does not fog up anymore as my head is cooler, no dripping down my forehead into my eyes. Coulda skated more periods after many games.

UPDATE...... well I've had the Energy Accumulator top for a while and have worn it to play hockey about 20 times. It took me a while but I figured out how to get it to work for me. As it is, the long sleeve top is too warm. When I first get on the ice I am nice and warm, which I thought was a good thing. Before I used to have to skate a whole bunch in warm up to just get my hands warm (they are already slow enough!) The problem is that in order for the garment to work it has to be damp.

Acne is not caused by sweat, it's caused by dead skin, or other minute obstructions, clogging the pores of the skin. In some cases, it is also caused by hormonal imbalance. So no, these clothes will not cause acne.

@xmessenjah As far as I know, it's actually better to drink water that is closer to your core body temperature when dehydrated, instead of cold water. Because it rehydrates your body faster, since your body does not have to raise the temperature of the water to your body's temperature after you ingest it.

Dang it costs like it works

@HeckoX but it can exacerbate the process if your body is shedding or lots of obstructions cloging the pores

Idk about anyone else but the whole "falling down because he was dizzy thing" looked SO fake. They never show him wobbling and losing his footing. He never actually falls, they cut the scene and replay it with tricky editing and the treadmill slowed so he doesn't actually get hurt. I've passed out from heat exhaustion as well as some teammates and it looks NOTHING like that. The legs get really weak and wobble really hard at the knees / ankle and you collapse. X-bullshit labs must have cut sports science a pretty pay check

It's not cheap as you found out, but I think if you're training for something to make a living or have the money to just stay in good shape it "might" be worth it, just depends what you want to get out of the investment.

He lasted 14 minutes in a heat like that? He is not average at all. Heck, I don't think I can last as long in a gym. I'm a sprinter, not even a cross country runner.

Considering it only takes a 3 degree C increase from normal core body temperature to cause heat stroke, 1.6 degrees is pretty significant.
