Is there a different word for ice hockey than just hockey? There are several types of hockey, ice roller, field, etc also what is the word for goalie?

Ice hockey is just default type of hockey, other types are that irrelevant and minor that nobody would think about them when you say just hockey. In Czech we have just hokej for ice hockey, florbal for floorball and pozemní hockey (land hockey literally) for field hockey. Everything else is that minor that most of people never even heard about such games. But I don't even know what's the difference between field hockey and floorball, we mostly called everything floorball in school when it was not on ice.

@@robertschultz6922 I had to google what is goalie. 😀 If you mean that guy who catches, you can call him gólman (but that's not that often today) or brankář in a proper Czech. BTW, ofcourse proper full name of ice hockey in Czech is "lední hokej" but most of people say just hokej and it's clear what you mean.
