Very useful video🙏🏼 do you think its possible to have both sports hernia and a groin strain at the same time ( i do martial arts tricking which involves a lot of kicking fliping and twisting your body very explosively) I took two weeks off with doing some of the normal recommended exercises for a groin strain, but every time I think I healed up and start training, after two sessions the pain comes back. How do I fix that? Would very much appreciate any advice
@Performance-Place-chiropractor6 ай бұрын
@Ottzeltricking Anything is possible. In order to figure out how to solve it we would need more information and examination to see what is affecting what. An examination helps us figure out how to solve it and see if there is a tear or strain, is there compensation or not, is the muscle imbalances or not, etc.... we can help you and we have seen many people with a similar situation because we have so many KZbin videos on it but each person's suggestions are unique. Alternately you would probably get some great information (too long for KZbin) on our free webinar - link in description or one of our podcasts Restoring Human Movement on your podcast player. We released a bunch of new updated info on sports hernias and how the hip/ groin is related. Episode 279 "Which factors differentiate athletes with hip or groin pain from those without" is a good one to start on. Lastly we have a new KZbin video I spent a long of time on to help those understand more about the relationship of the lower abs, adductor, hip and more with groin/ lower ab pain. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXqchISdncRqfMk Please emails us so we can get you set up with a Discovery Session if you want our direct help. I did a 10K speed workout on the track and immediately jumped right into a series of 3 football games last Friday. Woke up Saturday with a lot of difficulty to sit up after laying down. It’s been difficult to run at my normal comfortable pace & I still have a lot of tightness and soreness in the pubic bone / groin area. I do feel a bit improvement when I’m laying down or going for a run; however, I still feel pain doing those things. Do you believe I have the sports hernia / groin strain or something different?

Are hip abduction exercises considered beneficial for a sport hernia? Inwards and outwards
@Performance-Place-chiropractor8 ай бұрын
It depends on the person’s tolerance. Everybody is a little different and the mechanics, contributing factors, and ranges of motion that they have available are different in each person’s case. Arie to popular belief there is no standardization of rehabilitation this condition with a super high success rate. The magic comes down to customization and a thorough physical examination to figure out contributing factors that often times will redistribute load into the symptomatic region, if not addressed with the program. You can reach out to us via the link description for the video if you’d like more information about how we can help.

I got like a sore pain on the inside of my thigh. There isn’t any bludge and it doesn’t hurt when I cough. I’m just worried it might be a femoral hernia. The sore pain is only on the inside of my thigh but I weightlift and also work a job that I lift boxes to. Do you think it could be a hernia or just a pulled groin maybe.

I have had adductor and hip flexor pain/strain for over 6 months now. I play soccer and have been doing physio therapy for a while now. I can do virtually any exercise in the gym with little to no pain but my hip flexors are tight, snapy, and painful when performing the movements you mentioned. My adductor however has improved in strength but is still painful when doing agility drills. I also feel pain when compressing a ball between my legs or doing exercises targeting my glute medius such as lateral resistance band marches. Might I need surgery because I feel like physio therapy since February hasn’t helped?

I doubt I will get a response because this video was posted years ago but anyone with knowledge on this or had the same symptoms A specialist has now called it “sportsman groin” which in a way I’m happy it’s not a hernia which the scan said I had My question, is it ok to do light exercise without weights including cardio and kung fu, stretches, kicks etc would this benefit me? Thank you for any reply Was also thinking a Keto diet on just protein, salmon and steak with a cup of broccoli Been 4 weeks now with this, was told could last up to 8 weeks
