Looking into getting a new Nolan flip, I loved my last one and I have tried several flips since. Just wanting it to be red to match my bike paint, but this is on my maybe list :)

It may be difficult to quantify sound resistance but you could still tell us how it compares to the competition.

Will you be doing a review of the new Shark Oxo (which is effectively a sister helmet to the Nolan)? Maybe even a comparison between the two highlighting their similarities and differences.

Yes, we'll be reviewing that once we've had a chance to get out and put some miles in. I'd expect to compare it to the Nolan as part of that review, yes, as it seems they have much in common! Cheers, Tony

@sportsbikeshop Thanks for replying, Tony. When you do your review, could you see if the Nolan ESS helmet light also fits the OXO, please? There's a recess in the base trim of the Nolan to accommodate it, and there appears to be an identically shaped space on the Shark. Thanks.

No need to wait for the review to find out about ESS - it will fit perfectly on the Shark Oxo. Cheers, Tony

@sportsbikeshop Thanks for taking the time to reply, Tony. If the OXO is a good fit for me, then I think I'll team it up with the ESS.

Good looking helmet. Much better than the standard flip up. But how is the weight? I had a Neo Tec 3 in XL that I used on a 1000 mile trip. I sold afterwards because it was far too heavy. Plus the mass of the chin bar sitting atop my head (when deployed) was something that I didn’t like as well. Replace it with the GT Air 3. Happier with it. Been looking into a flip over lid for the past 6 months …Nolan specifically. Good review.

Weight is good compared to other plastic-shelled flipovers and I didn't find it to be an issue. An XL will be heavier than the M I wore, though. The weight balance of a flipover is better than a flip-up, but if outright weight is an issue then you can get lighter flipovers by looking at the LS2 Advant X or Advant X Carbon. There's more info in our Top 5 Flipovers video here... kzbin.info/www/bejne/o3rGY39oqrqmpMk Cheers, Tony

Hi Tony. Love the videos. Can you please do a video for the best helmets that come with Cardo integration out of the box? I see a lot of helmets which come with Sena integration but haven’t seen any for Cardo
@sportsbikeshop12 күн бұрын
That would be a very short video at the moment as the majority of manufacturers collaborate with Sena. The only helmet I've reviewed with integrated Cardo comms is the AGV Tourmodular. I'm glad you enjoy the videos and thanks for the kind comment. Cheers, Tony

The only problem I had with my Nolan is the unlock mechanism (pinch and lift) breaks easily. Now I couldn't flip the face and been using it like a regular full face. Wish they'd make something easier like a push button. Nice review by the way.

The helmet is covered by a five-year warranty and issues like that would be covered within that timeframe. I'd suggest returning to your dealer. If that's us then you can visit any of our stores or go to www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/returns to arrange that. Cheers, Tony

I bought one, and it was leaking from the top of the visor, got sent back and received a replacement and it was still leaking in the same spot. I like Nolan as a brand but this model was a disappointment for me.

I wear helmets to protect evey corner of my head, and this modular design doesn’t make sense to me, remember when I went down face against the floor, the transitional chin of my helmet protects my chin, my face and my forehead. Since the day, I would buy one helmet that protects my head.
