Dealers go in early to shows, don't buy whole lots, but just cherry pick all the good names and cards before the people that paid to get into a show even have a chance. Killing the hobby because all the shows are filled with junk after the dealer to dealer transactions.

Yeah dealers getting 1st dibs is pretty wild. Also for the smaller dealers they lose percentage because now they are getting comped down and a percentage on that. These type of deals really should be a end of show type thing where all dealers move dead stock amongst each other to get cards into better markets. This sort of buying really only helps the deeper pocket dealers and hurts the smaller dealer as they get less margin.

I get more from individual sellers vs card shows... The idea is to get what you like: I have not had a purchase for any shows over the last 3 years however, I recently purchased some very high end T-206 cards and some individual player complete card sets. I only work with baseball cards since I've collected since the early 60's, other sports don't mean nothing for me, no Pokémon or specialty cards because I just don't touch them. I recently for example: 68 cards of Nolan Ryan cards which include: The baby picture of the golden arm, his little league, time cards from NY Mets, Houston Astros, Texas Rangers, his ranch cards, a card where the Rangers gave him a horse and him posing with his horse, numerous record breaking Topps cards: In all I have 68 cards, 66 of them are graded with 10, 2 cards are still a sharp 9.

It goes both ways..Dealers might buy out your collection someday plus a Dealer may not get much business from collectors and flippers etc for a certain time period..so having to make that huge deal could be the difference in profitability and if no one profits the market wont grow.

My collection is 95% baseball and the majority of all I have are raw cards. I have autos ranging from Judge rookies, Ohtani rookies, Soto Bowman 1st, Trout, Acuna, Vlad Jr. and a lot more. I do have basketball, football and hockey cards as well. I have over 1,500 baseball autos (raw & graded). I have graded basketball with MBA Diamond. I’m looking to sell off every sports card I have, as well as every accessory I have which would be included in the sale price. (boxes, top loaders, one touch cases, penny sleeves, etc). If a deal is struck, I will personally deliver everything I have to any location in the continental U.S. with no extra fee included. I have lists to provide on all autos, graded and other cards that I believe are rare/worth something. I’m just looking to liquidate everything I have but I don’t have the time or means to go from one card show to the next and I want to get rid of everything at one time.
