I would like to see you review how an Ascend 133X compares with the autopilot. The 133X costs $999 and a 55 lb thrust ipilot costs $1219. From the few reviews I have seen of the 133X, it may even be better than the autopilot for about half the cost.

Just took out my 120 for the first time today. I love it! Was able to spot fish in the current on a tidal River with no issues. Insane. Was able to cast in pockets I would normally have to pass because of lack of control with my pedal drive on my lightning kayak. My only gripe ( yes only one ) is if you are going above 4 on your speed control and hit spot lock it will pop the motor up and it will disconnect . I know its a safety feature if you were to hit something going forward but it forces you to slow down then hit spot lock. I may look into rigging a bungie up so it can't 0op up like that. Other than that all good. Ran it at 10 back to the boat launch at a steady speed of 4.9 mph. At least thats what the remote and my Lowrance hook reveal said. Awesome. Definitely had everyone out there complementing my setup. Definitely worth every penny.

Had to make this decision myself. After trying both, easily the 360. Autopilot is nice, but just nowhere near as refined. Feels like a barge (and paddles like one), battery is just extra weight and expense, crap storage (can't even open the dry storage without bumping the seat strap 😒, see refined). Stable as hell though, on par with the native. Spot lock is nice as well. Muuuuuuuch prefer the Predator PDL in old town's lineup.

I tried to price it out getting a decent pedal kayak and adding a motor is roughly the same price. In my opinion for less the headache of installing and drilling. Go for the autopilot!

I fish a lot of big Tournies. Is there one you would like for bass tourney fishing more? I feel like transporting the 120 might be just a touch easier. Also like a shorter bow for fighting fish, but do like the open deck space. Any thoughts on this?

I would think having the extra space would be better for tournaments, you have more room to lay down the rods on the deck and take more studs with you. I feel better on the 136 once I'm on the water lol. Check the autopilot group on FB there are some tournament anglers using the 136

I just suffered my 51st birthday and my right shoulder is in some pain to quite a bit right now😬. Anyhow, I was wondering if you could compare a Solo Skiff, the Bote Rover, and a Jonny Boat (and any other portable outboard powered boat/kayak that's similar and no more expensive than the Bote)? I know that you have reviewed the Jonny, have a Bote, but haven't seen the Solo reviewed. Thanks and if I missed this comparison please first me to your video. Hey Aliex! I have only seen one dedicated KZbin video where someone added a second seat to the autopilot. Would love someone else to do it and compare it for the 120 vs 136. how much does she weight? you can get a frame seat, add some starboard blocks to the tankwell to hold the weight of the seat and strap it down using the tracks, you need like a base... maybe the old native watercraft base

She is 120 and I am 175. I think the autopilot would be a great platform for a tandem motorized kayak that wouldn’t require her to run a trolling motor or more complicated system. There are very few reviews on adding a second seat like the video below. I can’t. New Jersey DMV straight stinks. I tried to get my updated boat license, but no one showed up to give the class.. my old credentials from Coast Guard class do not carry over. Lines are wrapped around the DMV for customers. I love the yak, but NJ make it so hard, thus no bixpy

would it be an easy mod to make a mount at the back where there’s that flat area for the shallow anchor to add an outboard motor? for longer trips and to save the battery to be able to use it for a long duration on spotlock and silent trolling at the fishing spot (not to spoke the fish) and this would be better as outboard would be faster travel save on the cost of lithium battery longer duration on the water a reliable backup in case battery gets low as you see with everything loaded its nearly impossible to paddle this weight in emergency’s !!! if so what would be a good size outboard on the 136. Could you demo it may be with that Suzuki 2.5 u got :) or something bigger I believe it could handle a 6hp motor that would be just amazing if it could @aliexfolgueira
