Absolutely horrendous officiating. Dirty Anders Lee gets rewarded for kneeing and slewfooting. Pathetic. Never should’ve stayed in the game after kneeing Gavrikov . Sorry excuse for a Captain. He knew he could get away with anything after that, and he did whatever he wanted, and took over. He knew the Refs would turn a blind eye. I’m so over the officials this season. Hardly a single game where they’re okay, and then you have games like this where they don’t have a single idea what they’re doing. Just terrible.

Kings had a bad game defensively. Islanders deserve praise for their winning attitude and defeating the better team on paper. Kings were giving up second chances they normally don't that led to goals by the Islanders that they didn't allow vs. Montreal.

There aren’t too many home team color commentators that will say, “I get the fighting but there was no need to fight, it was a clean hit on Barzy!” As an Isles fan? I’m glad Mayfield got the extra 2 points! No reason to fight after a perfectly clean hit! All you have to do as a player, is remember his number and hit with a clean hard check later in the game! When did this culture start? After a player puts a clean hard check (it doesn’t matter who the player was that was checked) he shouldn’t have to defend himself after a clean hit! Im glad the officials are finally calling this nonsense of fighting after a clean hit! They need to start calling game misconducts! That will eliminate this culture of “wha, you hit our best player with a clean hit, how dare you?! Now let’s fight! You’re going to have to defend yourself!” I never want fighting out of the NHL but fight if it’s a cheap shot? Not a clean hit!

Fully agree. LA was in full control until Lee kneed Gavrikov. Looked like a typically LA dominant 3rd period, and then the referees chose to put their whistles away.
