Sportsnet commentary absolutely puts ESPN to shambles. Unbelievable. It's also proof why I've watched SN highlights over NHL ones for the last handful of years. This commentary was on fire. I haven't been able to stand ESPN / TNT (and even NBC when they broadcasted the games) in the US, I just sync the game with the radio call.

It’s definitely a disappointing result given that we were 2-0 up and collapsed, but it’s not the end of the world. I said it after the last game that Tampa would be a different animal at home and that we’d have to work even harder if we were to see victory on the road, and we almost did. If we didn’t concede pretty much straight after we went 2-0 up, I think we’d have held out for the win. Not to mention the fact that we allowed 52 shots on goal which is criminal and just asking for trouble... Igor’s great, but he can’t do it all by himself, our d’men need to put their bodies on the line and block some of those shots next game. If we win the next game and split the games in Tampa leaving us with a chance to win and end the series at home where we’ve been so good and dominant during the playoffs, I think most NYR fans will take that.

Rangers were on their way to locking down the series...up 2-0 halfway thru the second period and Trouba, who has played well, takes a totally unnecessary penalty. The powerplay gets Tampa back in the game and they eventually win a game they were on their way to losing. If this win turns around the series for Tampa, it will be a costly mistake for Trouba and the Rangers.

Lightning must win this game, and they did. I'm sure they don't want to go down 0-3. Both goalies got beaten by one timer. Lightning scored late in the 3rd period, and they won 3-2. Good job Lightning!

This was the win that Tampa needed to propel them to win the Cup. They’ll win a hard-fought series with the Rangers and face the well-rested Avs team in the finals. The Avs will be rusty, so Tampa will take an early advantage in the series and hold on the win it all in seven.
