So, I’m a Devils fan (if you couldn’t tell), and while frustrating, it is what it is. I can’t complain after a 13 game winning streak. Would have liked to have seen 14+, but what can you do. After the better part of a decade going the way it went, I don’t think any Devil fan can be upset with the caliber of play we’re seeing from our team. I think that the frustration and some anxious nerves got to them tonight, but with the win streak done (for now) they can go back to playing their game without the added pressure of a record breaking streak on their shoulders. Brush it off guys and have some fun out there, it’s been fun watching it for sure. I’m just super stoked that my Devils are the talk of the town lately and are considered the hottest team in the league. Let’s go!!!

Hey, be grateful. I'm a Flyers fan. They're literally playing with an AHL roster because of how many injuries they have. Literally every star play they have, is injured but a few D men and Hayes. The rest are newbies and 4th liners. Couturier, Atkinson, Konecny, Laughton, Ellis, JVR. Then there's the other guys that aren't stars that are injured like Brink. Who was "supposed" to be the season he was going to break out.... gets hurt in the off season. Ellis, out for the season. Coots, out for at least another 3 or 4 months. Atkinson "in the near future". Konecny (who was one of the hottest players in the NHL at the time he was hurt), 2 weeks........ Basically, The Flyers should be wearing Phantoms jerseys.

He should have gotten it even if it was unintentional because he skated between the goal and the goalie who was returning to the goal. So even if he didn't mean it, he should have gotten a penalty for being "dumb" as in not trying to avoid the goalie by not skating between him and the goal.

1st one: I think its questionable, I mean their skates touched but I don't think he would have made the save either way plus it was before the shot and barely limited him. However I think it could go both ways. 2nd one: No way, he played the puck and the player was not far behind plus technically he turned into him so I think that was a bad call on the refs part. He was outside the crease and had just moved the puck so to me on that alone hes fair play. 3rd one (Not in the video): Obvious kicking, refs were 100% right.

Both calls are bad calls. First one had clear pushing from the defenseman to create contact with the goalie. The second is just plain inconsistent. Carey Price literally got pulled out of the net for an easy empty netter goal for the Rangers years ago. They called that a good goal. Needless to say, I’d be pissed if I was an NJ fan. The game starts to feel fixed when you see BS like that.

Murray is going back to his net, even a blind guy can see that, yet still Tatar goes and tries to cut him off. He is intentionally trying to interfere with his ability to get back to the net to make the save. If you want to argue for a goal to be allowed, you would have better luck with the first one, the other two are open and shut no goals.

It's so hard on the 2nd one though. Sure, he hit him, but he made every effort possible to get out of the way of the goaltender in that moment and then the shot that was going wide of the net only got put into the net because of the goaltender. So the incidental contact didn't prevent him from making a save because the save wasn't needed. Just one of those things where you're calling off a goal to protect all goaltenders in the future even though he wasn't in his net to begin with.

It's so ridiculous to give a team a delay of game penalty for losing a challenge. The first disallowed goal was a close call, but I think the refs did get it right. But I do think it was close enough to merit review and that it's unreasonable to punish New Jersey for wanting such a close call to get reviewed. It's bad enough having a goal being taken away: punishing them further with a penalty is quite unnecessary.

While it looks like the smallest of touches, murray was trying to slide over and decided that because he could not, to go into butterfly to attempt to save anyway. I don't like vandalism, but the fact is that reffing has been on a steady decline for quite a lot of time now. Players, coaches and fans are so pissed about wrong calls or missed calls happening 8times per game on average...we just can't give them the benefit of the doubt on close calls anymore. Every job you can do in hockey; from owner to water-boy; you are held accountable for your mistakes. Except one... they never own up to their mistakes and Bettman protects (and even compliments them). On the first one the only contact was with the right skate of the forward and the left skate of the goalie, and the goalie was still able to get a full stretch with his left leg. In order for incidental contact outside of the crease to be a good goal, the attacking player has to make a reasonable effort to avoid the contact.
