As a Oiler fan, the Canucks got a great team. The last 2 games they seemed tired and ran out of gas.

Right call, but don't call it again? Only the NHL would choose that path over changing the rule. Amazing.

Gentlemen, another great podcast. However, I need to push back on one thought. The one thing that spoils the overall NHL experience, is overhyping players. Recently, case in point--Miro Heiskanen. While I will agree that his skating, and offensive ability are elite; his defensive prowess is absolutely rock-bottom. Yes, he has the skating ability to keep pace with a McDavid, unless he can execute a poke-check/stick check; he doesn't offer much else. Most recent example is Wood's overtime winner in Game 1 of the WCSF. In fact, if you do a deep dive, you will see that Heiskanen and Suter are the biggest reasons that Dallas fell to Vegas last season. The majority of Dallas' short-handed goals allowed are also a result of Heiskanen's inability (or unwillingness) to play disciplined hockey. If I were the front office in Dallas, I would be pushing to transition him to Wing. I can't recall if it was Mike Rupp or Bill Lyndsay on NHL Network, that did a comprehensive analysis on his defensive shortcomings; but, it was spot-on.

Didn't know you were such an expert on goaltending, Oilers goaltending in particular. Have you seen all the Oiler games this year? Not saying the Oilers tandem is better than the Dallas tandem, but the margin of difference is no where near as large as you think it is. Plus, and it's not that close, the best two players in the series are in Edmonton, and that's true no matter who they play, in Draisaitl and McDavid - and as Vcr found out and as LA knows quite well, those two will grind you down and tire you out. I wonder how much gas Dallas has left after that series against Mackinnon and Makar? I think Dallas most likely wins series but probably in 7 games. If McDavid and Drai go Nuclear, then Oilers win
