Hey! This is the first video I've watched of yours, and as someone who is going to travel to Kyoto this November, it was incredibly insightful, thank you. Since it is my first time in Japan and therefore in Kyoto, I wanted to ask you about your experience with communication. Are you fluent in Japanese? Or were you able to talk, for example at the last dinner place with the different wagyu-courses, in English? Thanks in advance and greetings from Austria!

I know like two japanese words. lol. almost every menu is in English, and everyone goes above and beyond to try and communicate with you. my server that night actually spoke great English!

@@BrunchBoys Wow, thank you so much for the immediate reply - We will definitely check the restaurant out then when we visit!

I just saw your comment and I'm watching his video. I'm in Kyoto, and don't worry about the language. I'm being some in China and there really is very difficult with English, they help a lot, but china is really difficult also the apps etc. Kyoto I'm feeling they are well prepared for foreigners and their hospitality is something... Superb!

prices unless it's part of the story, meaning it's super expensive or super cheap, just drives engagement of people that like to complain.

Hello, how hard is it to make reservations at restaurants in Kyoto? Do you need a Japanese phone number?
@BrunchBoys3 ай бұрын
@@juniper2168 lots of reservation sites, some have qr codes you have to scan in tbe mornings, and others you can have the concierge st your hotel help you with. all just depends

@@BrunchBoys Hi Jeremy! Just want to update you that I was able to get a reservation to Tempura Endo (but for lunch)! I showed my brother who is a coffee fan your stop at weekenders and now that is going to be of our stops too. Since it's my first time in Japan, want to ask, how difficult is it to get around without knowing any Japnaese and how difficult/confusing is the train system? Thank you in advance~!
@BrunchBoysАй бұрын
@ love that!! honestly it's pretty easy! everything, even train announcements are in English too! and google maps is really helpful. they even say what car on the train you should get into
