Market reversals can be difficult to navigate as a trader going against the crowd. It's important to be aware of who is in control of the market and when control changes hands. One way to make it an easier process of classifying who is in control and who is not is with Footprint analysis.
In the shown example, we see that sellers were in control and drove the market lower, but they failed to hold the price at the reversal point. This is where buyers stepped in, as identified by the big blue box on the Footprint. The market then moved higher. On the second retest, the market then returned to this blue box again and at this exact point, it reversed again.
Without using a Footprint, you may have missed this opportunity by waiting for the lows to be retested. The Footprint helps identify a clear point of change in control and thereby displays valuable information visually.

The footprint chart revoluntiozed my trading so much that I use it on my live streams. My entries, exitts and stops are so much better now. I learned the basics from your videos.

Looking at higher timeframes can help too. Today's ES, for instance, tested down to the low end of the range from 15 to 18 Jan then reversed with a spike-reject on the 5-min. You'd not have seen the support level just looking at a 5-min chart. It was a pretty favorable setup for a scalp with confluence from a couple of perspectives.

Richard, I think this is for beginners 😉 . It all depends on how big players sell or buy, aggressively or passively. You can hide information using ice berg and allocate beginners the wrong side, if you know what I mean ...

You're confused, this is footprint, it shows all the "traded" orders that has already been executed in the market, not "limit orders" resting on bid and offers, which are what iceberg orders are concealing for.

@@lab-virus As you know, you can, for example, sell to ask or bid, which confuses novice traders and, by doing so, introduces erroneous information on volume delta and cumulative delta. That is why a professional trader always observes the tape.

Staring at your face while you're talking isn't as good as looking at the chart/footprint your are actually talking about. I'd suggest showing the chart and highlighting the areas/issues you're talking about wtih a mouse/pen cursor for clarity. If you're ego needs to have your face on display most would tolerate a minimised panel off to one side. I learnt very little from seeing your face.
