It's annoying how much these playlists just cater towards core and alt bands. There are still brutally heavy bands in the underground that don't even get this kind of attention. Some really heavy bands from the last 10 years: Nithing, Hyperdontia, Pissgrave, Triumvir Foul, Undergang, Spectral Voice, Phrenelith, Artificial Brain and Wormed to name a few.

I think the thing with spotifys algorithm is with their basic labeled playlists they'll have a few things on their that are just barely on the fringes of the spectrum of what it's labeled for. That way when someone listens to it, they take into account what gets replayed/listened to all the way through to get a better understanding of what u like and are looking for to be able to put together "recommended" playlists. So essentially these basic genre playlists are the net to catch everyone they can and learn how to better bait the hook for each individual

The band at 8:07, silly goose, after a breaking Benjamin acoustic show silly goose pulled up in a van right after the concert and started playing until the cops showed up, and about a month later, right after a silent Planet show, they set up all of their gear in the parking deck that was connected to the venue, and played a full set, the singer even crowd surfed, there was a pit and everything. One of the best nights of my life.😂

When I went to listen to them they had 500 monthly listeners on Spotify, I was their 25th subscription on KZbin and they only have 1 song that is HEAVY AF!!!
