Spotted Bass on Little Swimbaits in Parksville Lake

Went fishing with my buddy Chris (CatfishChris) on My local lake (Parksville/ Ocoee). We just fished off his boat for bass or anything we could catch. We all caught plenty of fish, mostly spotted bass.

Just found this old video. Man you guys were getting a workout in those coves. Then you Chris talking about your old combos. Zebco 202 spincast with matching cork handle pistol grip rod yes sir! 1980. My brother and I had matching ones so of course Dad wrote our names on the fore grip. I found my brother's in Dad's shed and had the cork handle redone and gave it back to him as a gift. He'd forgotten about it. First open face combo was age 15, an Ugly Stik from my uncle..I still have her! And the Shimano GTX 1200 Magnumlite spinning reel too. My wife and kids all have 33 reels on their combos..hard to beat. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

I have fished with a friend out on his boat, and we went out deep and fished along drop offs and points with shakey heads and caught lots of bass. That might be where the biggens are posted up at. Really scenic place to fish!

Not sure if you all went up to the section that has some more water flow or not, but in warm weather when the water is flowing, boat up to near where the raft take out is, and float downstream throwing those swimbaits that last mile or two before it opens back up into the lake section . That's how and where the state record Alabama Spotted Bass was caught.

I notice that you don't seem to play the fish, you just yank and reel. Imho you would get a lot more pleasure out of the bite if you allowed your rod to work more. Slower fishing but much more relaxing.
