Some feedback on this deck after playing it. Dump the Starmie line, -1 Eevee and -1 Magikarp for Articunos and another Leaf. This improves your early game immensely. Also if you run Articuno one blizzard is effectively your future Giovanni.

Nah dropping starmie isn't correct it's too synergistic with vapor and allows for aggressive plays while naturally building up a gyra. Articuno is too mediocre without misty high rolls

I'm running Mew because I don't have Giovanni in my list and it serves the purpose of Mewtwo / Charizard beater + super bulky with a single retreat cost. I still have Starmie as I value its aggression and free switches highly

9:05 From what I've played, Celebi does need a lot to get to it's full potential with that deck. But on games where you don't pull Celebi or can't deploy it yet, Lilligant + Serperior line does good in the early game. Lilligant does a solid 50 damage while building your energy which pairs well with the Serperior line since they all do solid damage early game for a high energy cost. And from there you simply play it out until you can get Celebi out and win. I've had decent success with it!

@LoosieGoosie42 Lilligant is an excellent consistency partner for Celebi. It's not a lot because you aren't trying to get all 3 lines at the same time. You just want Celebi and either Lilligant or Serperior. So in matches where you can't find Serperior, you have another option.

Listen the true OP tier 1 gyara exodia deck is 5 fossils 2 chatot 2 oak 2 ball 2 misty 2 scope 2 red card 1 teleport magikarp 1 ex gyarados 1 giovanni Im actually super serious that this is a direct counter to celebi decks and goes even with mewtwo if you use telescopes, redcards and giovanni wisely I dont run potions bc if your poke isnt injured then you cant use them and they are a consistently dead draw when drawing out your deck for exodiados

18:55 Despite Grapploct having 3 energy there he has 2 water energy and 1 fighting energy which is why he can't attack. He kinda messed up for having dual energy when most fighting type Pokemon cards need more fighting energy. Fighting type Pokemon cards are not that flexible for dual typing and also steel type as well.

what if i told you all that a wheezing and salandit deck completely counters the old meta and the new one? wheezing can’t get 1 shot by pika and stalls out mewtwo ex, all the mons moves are useless for a mew ex, and salandit can deal 70 with 1 energy to celebi and serperior turn 2 consistently (not including poison damage). x2 wheezing x2 new koffing x2 new salandit x1 grimer x1 muk x2 pokeballs x2 research x2 koga x1 leaf x2 x speed x1 blue x1 sabrina x1 potion

I opted for 2 pyokumoku for early game agression and decent tanking, only 1 eevee into 2 copies of vaporeon because having 2 is unnecessary, easy to get eevee but 2 copies of vaporeon bevause its harder to find. No starmie in mine and the supports were very similar. Pyokumoku i found is able to buy me time consistantly and with an x speed enables you to retreat later and move the energy over to gyrados

I honestly though the effect on gyarados was better I thought it removed 1 random energy from every mon on the field meaning it would work well to disrupt everyone and made it work better with vap since it means you only lose energy from active Mon if you transfer all but since it removes 1 energy total it sort of sucks

25:02 you can still attack if you wanted. The effect would have gone off and you could have discarded from the opponent. Granted you could have discarded from Gyarados too but the opponent had a lot of mons with energy. Which makes me wonder. Does the game choose a Pokemon with energy and then discard one of the energy or does it pull all the energy and then discard?

Random it's either you got 1 energy from your Pokemon or theirs as it's 1 energy from that attack so either you got lucky or not literally another coin flip mechanic without the coin flip.

Its a little degenerate but celebi with lilligant deck is extremely powerful. 2 celebi 2 of each of serperior line 2 of each of lilligant line 2 prof. 2 pokeball 2 Erika 2 exp share You try to get the lilligant online as early as possible, ideally two of them in rotation. Let them kill both in the process of stacking celebi with energy. I've gotten my celebi up to i think 18 flips. Celebi and lilligant are both 1 retreat cost so with exp share you can freely retreat, but with serperior online it doesnt really matter anyway I dont think i've lost with that deck since i've been playing it

Honestly strongest card in the deck is new eevee from a battle I just had I went first with mewtwo and had the line for gardivoir but basically got soloed by eevee Turn 1 I have mewtwo active raltz on bench with Sabrina,blue, kirlia in hand and draw the gardivoir end turn as nothing to do Turn 2 they play pokeball and place articuno and magikarp on bench play misty tails first toss place energy on eevee attack and hit 4 heads for 80 damage on my mewtwo Turn 3 I draw second mewtwo place it on bench evolve to kirlia place energy on active Mewtwo end my turn Turn 4 they Sabrina I swap to benched Mewtwo they place second energy on eevee attack and hit 8 heads dealing 160 damage killing my mewtwo I put other Mewtwo back out who has 70 hp Turn 5 draw the mythical slab use it draw second gardivoir evolve to gardivoir place 2 energy on mewtwo 3 total attack eevee for 50 survives with 10 hp Turn 6 they x-speed retreat evolve their eevee transfer energy to active articuno attack for 80 win I’m not mad at the situation I find it hilarious but had to share in no way is this a rant to get it nerfed it isn’t that good just absolutely hilarious if luck works for it. Also not looking for critics on my play I literally wouldn’t have played it any different since

This deck is kinda rough. The only good plays you’re going to get is if you luck out on misty flips. Otherwise, it takes too long to come online. If you tails the misty flips, it’s an early concede just like other water decks.

I really like the idea for Gyrados EX, but I just can't get the cards I need when I need them. I've noticed my card draw luck has been crazy bad since the new update. I'm like 0-10 with Gyrados EX and it makes me sad. Especially when I see that it works so well for other people.

Hi @spragels Pocket. I built a Celebi Ex deck this morning. It's really powerful. Here's the decklist. 2 Petilil. 2 Lilligant. 2 Celebi Ex. 2 Snivy. 2 Servine. 2 Serperior. 2 Erika. 2 Sabrina. 2 Poke Ball. 2 Professor's Research. Serperior is an insane grass support. And for each energy I give to Celebi Ex, when my Serperior is on the bench, its attack makes me flip 2 coins. I played a game where I put 7 grass energies on my Celebi Ex. That's a potential 14 coin flips. 50 damage for each heads. This is simply insane, and I feel like it's the best possible Celebi Ex deck.

I tried running Liligant, and decided to drop it in favor of two Dhelmise and Potions. I found that Dhelmise is a hard counter to Mew EX since it specifically gets the buff from grass energy, and Mew EX can never do more than 20 damage against it which the potions can undo if they aren't spent keeping Celebi up.

I personally feel like the Lilligant line doesn’t add too much to this deck, it’s kind of competing with Serperior with more risks. Here’s what I would suggest. 2 Celebi ex 2 Snivy 2 Servine 2 Serperior 1 Dhelmise 1 Chatot 2 Potion 2 Erika 2 Sabrina 2 Pokeball 2 Professor’s research Dhelmise is just an early game wall, but the big change is Chatot. Having the ability to reshuffle your hand is a great way to hunt for Servine and Serperior, the only downside to this deck.

No reason to run Misty in this Deck. (Except someone is having a wild approach to gambling therapy) Only 1x Starmie-ex in this Deck could lead to charges im front of a war tribunal. 0 retreat, imprcable tandem with Vaporeon(+leaf). The tempo is unreal.
