Jim, I use powdered copper, brass, and bronze. I use unused StarBond bottles to apply the powder. Squeezing the bottle makes a narrow jet of metal to fill gaps. Your videos are always instructive and instructive. Most of what I have learned about turning came from your KZbin channel. Designer Epoxy. Take care, Mac

Good morning 🌅, Jim and Family and Friends, another great project good looking piece of art, I have a board of Padouk 1”12 x10” x 10’ in my workshop, leftover from a bookcase that I made 30 years ago, and yes it turns brown, and Wenga some bits, I made a very large dinning table, and a coffee table as well, the table it self was made of Ash with solid wenga in it , it is prone for splitting, if not machine properly, I even finished part of the job, and came in the next day and part of the grain a delaminated, so I had to cut it apart and redo it again. I believe the bits I’ve got left over maybe from that part that was split., this is quite toxic, if you get a piece as a splinter in your finger and do not get it out it will fester, as I have mentioned before I have made literally thousands of pepper pots out of Blackwood and Rosewood et cetera over the years, air fed mask is essential, keep up the great work, I wish you all a great Christmas and a happy New Year, though I will not be celebrating myself as I live by myself, from France,

Really, really appreciate that you show us how you work through issues that you encounter. My son has really taken that to heart in his work. Also, good to know that using the DesignerEpoxy to seal endgrain is helpful. We have the various types of their epoxy to do so. This particular video was very helpful, as we are both learning how to better do fitted lids. He has some Urns to turn and really pondering the best approach for the lids. So, this video was helpful. And lastly...i for one really like this piece, unique but well balanced with the finial adding a great contrast to the form.
