I followed all of Paint society’s training videos and used the 610 Hvlp gun with a 26gal compressor to paint my black 2009 VW Sportwagen and it turned out fantastic. I had zero experience painting a car. The results of following all of the steps from strip, sand, prime, block, clean, base coats, and clear coats. All done in an Arizona home garage; amazing results! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and skills.

Beautiful job Brian. Thanks for the tips as always. I'm an avid semi-pro detailer and moving to incorporate spot repairs in my armoury. I've got a few cheapo guns (Chinese GTi Pro 1.3 and a LVLP Voilamart 1.3). I've got the Aeropro 610 coming in about a weeks time due to it being imported to England, UK. Heard so many good things about it and seen it in action on your channel and other reputable KZbinrs. I've been watching your channel for a couple of years now, and haven't sprayed a darn thing. However, the amount of educational tutorials you pump out has got me somewhat confident I'll hit the ground running. Just need a few panels to get practising on and then we'll go from there. If it weren't for guys like yourself most of us newbs would be going in blind and destined for failure from the outset. So, thank you!

There are many cheap spray guns that can do a good job on the market. But being able to set your gun up for specific types of paint is very important. I love my Devilbiss Pro lite it’s very adaptable. If you want a nice home paint job put your money in your air systems,dirty contaminating air can ruin your day in a hurry.

I started my 92 mustang project with the eastwood LT100 and it worked great for doing epoxy primer, I then got the R500 as a back up to my Eastwood, well I did not care for that one at all. Did a good job but It just did not spray as good as the Eastwood. So I then heard about the A610. Got me one of them and loved how it sprayed color and clear. So I ended up sidelining the Eastwood and the R500 for the rest of the project. I have used the Eastwood to do a few pieces that needed to be epoxied and then sprayed Chassis black.

Man…. All those guns are actually THE SAME GUN. The A610 just has nickle plating and comes in a black finish. Sprays a bit wider but its literally an upgraded R500. Parts are in fact Interchangeable, and in fact because they are modeled after the Iwata, which also is interchangeable. Eastwood, R500, A610 They are all the same gun.

@@alejandroochoa3541 Oh, I get it, but that R500 sprays no where as nice as the eastwood or the A610. The dude that put that one together must have been having a bad day or something. The A610 looks the same as the other LVLP gun you reviewed a few videos back (YT-160). I asked the seller to confirm the air consumption of the YT-160 and they said 300L/min which is 10+ cfm. But in the description it says 3.0-3.9 cfm which is also the same rating for the r500 and the A610. So are these actually Lvlp guns if they consume 10 cfm. I just bought the yt-160 since it said 3.0 cfm at 30 psi but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
@bosshawg7427
@bosshawg7427 6 ай бұрын
The R500 and its relabled counterparts are nowhere near 3-4 CFM. They're closer to 8-9, which still isn't that bad considering most painters don't spray continuously throughout a job. You'll be stopping here and there, which may help in a smaller compressor. Still, I wouldn't use anything too small.
@davidcrystalprater73
@davidcrystalprater73 6 ай бұрын
The R500 is rated at 3.0-3.9 at 30 psi, the manual that came with the one I got awhile back says operating pressure is 28.5- 51 psi with a max of 60psi so I myself have been questioning this lately. I would assume at higher pressures it is gonna consume a higher cfm/ volume but I very well could be wrong.

As a Paint cup gets used old paint, dries and flakes off into the paint, so I tape it so that Paint cannot come off.

I bought the A-610 kit from Aeropro, it came with 5 caps, starting at 1.2, 1.3, 1.5, 1.7, and 2.0. I haven't used it yet, but I'm excited to see what it will do. Brian I wanted to ask you 2 questions about the Corvette you did for your bil, what was the paint code on the blue you used, and what the epoxy you used on the trunk when you patched the holes, I'm building a fiberglass kit car and I am curious if that would work for the mold seam repair on the body, any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
