Ich habe problemme bei dem Wasserbasislack ppg. Viele einschlüsse beim auftragen. Nicht immer gleich viel, aber immer . Mal. Viel mal sehr wenig. Ich arbeite damit seit 23 Jahren. 100% Lack , finsh alles top. Nur die Wasserbasis. Kann auch an der Lackierkabine sein. Ist eine Wälti schweizer produckt. Danke euch

It’s far easier to be critical than to be positive. All the people throwing shade can’t even use an Aerosol can to paint let alone 20+ years in the field. I always look at the negative commenters channel and have yet to find one posting videos of their own paint work.

@@jimcrackery8321 Gunman likes Devilbiss, some people like Iwata, I use Sata....You don't know what you like yet because you probably haven't tried them all.....Don't get drawn into buying famous, expensive brand name sprayguns just because you see Gunman using them, he uses them every day of the week for work. Gunny has loads of videos of quality cheaper guns that he's approved...choose one of those, then get out there and paint some shit.... no time to waste..

@@jimcrackery8321 - Gunny recommends a DeVilbiss FLG 4 for any new painters. It’s a good workhorse for everything. Do not buy the Starting Line kit , as I did and wasted money. I love my Tekna Pro Lite, 1.3 with T110 cap but I’m doing show quality, dead flat. Nothing wrong with starting with a $10 purple HF gun and Spraying Rustoleum either. No one cares unless it’s a $10k paint job if it’s not perfect. Spend the money and get good clear. I love SPI universal clear but it’s not cheap. SpeedoKote is slightly cheaper and will be great for your jobs.

May I ask, why did you put blending clear on the bonnet and then spray the Basecoat, then Clearcoat over the Basecoat. Is that to soften the paint underneath for adhesion? I thought blending clear was used when you are blending a topcoat into an adjacent panel not been completely painted so you cannot see the paint colour transition between the two panels.

With this paint system it helps the colour blend, it also helps you have a uniform basecoat colour later so the clear goes on smooth and even

Nice finish! , do you find the dv1 (clear , I can't speak for the base) painfully slow? I do , very similar speed to the ws400 . Great guns for doing a couple panels , but not so much full car . Personally I'd use a pro lite or advance hd for anything more than a couple panels (or 4600 , or 360 evo ... )

I just watched one of your videos from 2018 advising against getting an HVLP gun and at the time you even preferred not to use them. Most of the recent vids I've seen are HVLP although that could be because that's what I've been looking for. Do you still advise not to get one or prefer other guns yourself?

These guns are not really HVLP, DeVilbiss are playing funny buggers to make themselves look good to the EPA. They call them HVLP+ if you look closely. So I stand by not recommending a true HVLP

True hvlp is so slow it'd be like slowing his video down to .5. I don't care much if it takes longer to get a good finish, but if it's just to save a few mils of clear I'd rather get out of the booth faster.

Try a different browser. I've had that happen before, I just checked and it's working on my end. Possibly clear the browser cache if you can, that's what I had to do to fix it.

Greetings, from America. You said, you hit the whole car with degreaser. That sounds pretty expensive. Although, I do understand why. The two main ingredients I use for a successful paint job, in the shop. Is a spray bottle of Dawn dish soap. (Just enough to tint the water blue.) And a clay bar. Dawn dish soap will loosen up the wax on the surface. That's holding the silicone. And the clay bar picks it up and removes it. With most of today's high-tech waxes... Being predominantly made up of, silicone... Every little bit of insurance helps. And I mean seriously, you don't know what the customer used on that car before you got it. So it's best to strip it down to a solid foundation, and start building back up again. The key to every successful paint job and body repair in the body shop, begins and the detailers Bay. With cleaning and preparing the vehicle for work to be done. Removing all of the silicone, wax, removing all of the contaminants from the impact. (Battery acid, antifreeze, deer poop) And identifying, repair areas accurately. Unfortunately, we have a group of individuals called management, that don't understand this process. And often require the detailers to do it, after the vehicle has been fixed. And then on Friday afternoon they have to stand around and explain to the customer why it looks like s***. But you got a good gun man... Keep up the good work. That finished looks spectacular... Looks like it just came off the factory floor. Although I realize, you guys down there probably don't deal with a whole lot of deer hits. But let me just tell you... Upon impact... A deer will shit all down the side of the car. But, where I live, it happens every day. 1 in 80 cars is involved in a car/deer collision. That's the highest rate of any county, in the entire country. And I don't know if you know anything about the Michigan whitetail... But it's not a small deer. These are not like the mule deer, they have down south. You can hit a mule deer, and treat it like a speed bump. But you hit a Michigan whitetail... And that sucker is going to wipe out the whole front end of your F-350. And if you're lucky... It won't get up and run away. Cuz, sometimes, they do.

Yes, 1.35 bar+ , high pressure, I’ll run up to 50 psi, the gun won’t low up! He’s got the fan almost wide open and needle wide open. You really have to slam the clear on to get that beautiful shine.

I can tell you haven't been in a booth before, which is fine. Even aside from the over spray the clear will literally look like steam for a minute or so after you spray from all the off gassing. He actually has very little over spray. You can get even less with a true hvlp, but he'd be spraying for twice as long.
