I’m good at many many things. But home improvement has always been a challenge. Guys like you make it look so easy. I for one appreciate it because it gives me a since that I can DIY home projects.

I'm a builder and I make a majority of my money by repairing ALL DIY jobs. Most people think that they can watch a video a few times for a one time project and that will save them the money of having a pro do it....NOPE. WRONG. 100% of the time they fail at doing it correctly and at some point their work fails and creates other problems that can lead to giant mistakes. Then they pay me to not only fix their mess but the other problems that that created. Or someone like yourself receives the proper karma by buying a home where someone decided to DIY it like you on your previous house and now you're stuck with a new large repair bill.

Great look at painting a window. I have used the Graco handheld sprayer for a couple of years now and I thinks its really useful for small jobs just like your window or doors. However it certainly has it’s limitations, especially with more viscous paints and it really needs to be cleaned very thoroughly which takes a lot time. I use hottish water with detergent to get it cleaned properly.

I thought i heard you say you were not a big fan. Looks like it did a nice job. I am a hobbyist, i own the same/similar Grayco. I like it a lot. Although I'm not a painter, i got a pretty good paint job on trim with it.

Well how did the sprayer do? I bought one and it was $$$! Works great, a little heavy, and I just recently bought the Graco quick shot! Great investment for small jobs like these. I’d like to see you test both and do a honest review of them if able. Great job Chris as always! Been a big fan of you over the years, you might of known me by the name of “Hank Hill”. From back in the day when you used to go live!I’ve changed my name over the years… I remember winning the Richard gooseneck paint brush, a Paintlife shirt, some cool paint life stickers and a signed card from you from back in the day, and you and John used to answer my painting questions. I’ve been painting for over 15 years, and I love watching your videos and watching you grow as a person and as a company and now back to being Solo. Anyways glad to be back! 🫡

Howdie Chris, I've been following you for a short time and really enjoy your videos. I was in the military for 23 years and have literally used 100 gallons of paint across the dozen homes my family and I lived in over my career. I have learned a great deal over my private painting career and have passed the skill onto my now adult children. I am contemplating going into the painting business, interior to begin with, and have watched your video on estimating. I saw below that you charges $1,100 for this job. Was that just for that window or was there additional trim that you painted on that $1,100 contract? Would you be able to share with your viewers and subscribers what you estimated this job for and were you on/over/under budget for time and supplies? Thank you, so very much, for the time you take to produce these videos. Sincerely, Brian

Chris, I've been watching your channel for a few years - always great quality tips and production. But, the Graco Ultra handheld sprayer is an absolute PITA. I bought one after watching your original review (test spraying the exterior of a shed) but wished I'd saved my money. It won't spray regular paints unless they are thinned, the hole in the tip guard blocks ALL the time (the 514 tip is generally OK), and if the paint is thinned enough for the Graco to handle it the spray pattern is either 'striping' or a fire hose. My Wagner GEA 350 will obviously spray the same paints straight from the can (no dilution) because it's 240V powered, but even my first budget range (£150) Wagner HVLP will spray the same paint without requiring dilution. The Graco is simply not worth the. money in my opinion.

Hi Chris. Thanks for all the videos like this it’s really helping me be bring my paint game up a notch. I wasn’t happy with my brush strokes on previous jobs and love this thing for small trim jobs. A few questions for a DIYer. How many coats do you do and how long to wait in-between coats? If I want super smooth trim is it necessary to have a light wet sand between coats? Taping is always the most time consuming part for me. I usually pull the tape right after I coat it. Do you leave the tape on in between coats to save time, and if so how any tricks to removing it? Thanks!

The sprayer is good until it quits working. I didn’t get the money back out of mine. I will probably still spend the $165 to replace the pump. Its great for small stuff and is quick and easy to get into paint and clean up.

Damn brah before the shoot Chris is doing curls and headbangers, "alright I'm ready let's do this". Jk for reals your getting big brah getting a good pump. I like the video I have the cheapest version of that handheld greyco but I think I destroyed it as when I first got the machine I was not very paint literate and had 0 paint life vids under my belt so it was clogged for a couple years and I just recently cleaned soaked it in mineral spirits upside down you can't take it apart but I cleared the old paint in it but I think the pump is damaged beyond. It might or might not work again will keep posted. Quick question u always buy expensive tape could you always do this like in your first couple yrs of business ok is it cost efficient for a junior painter to buy anything more than a dunn Edwards 3/4" basic masking tape? To be honest that's all I get for my 3m maskers and misc. It seems to stick to damn near everything, idk, your spackle is small it seems like I might do more drywall idk I usually keep a box of ultra light usg, I guess it would be easier than carrying a box around the job. Hey just wanted to say your videos have allowed me the confidence from knowing how to attack a paint job being prepared and I've become way more efficient... I bought a greyco 210 es and I love it. I can't imagine how many others have benefited from your work and will continue to benefit. I think about all these get rich quick schemes ads that pop up all day, you know if people would just watch your videos and soak up the info turn around and put it into action and start painting houses I guarantee that person will make enough and have a consistent income I get it it's feast or famine but what is throwing your money at some guru just to tell you that you have to work hard to be successful right save your money and buy a sprayer... Just wanted to say Good Looking Out, Thank You. Go Paint Life

Why not just paint it by hand like you did on the outside of the window? By the time you mask everything off and clean out the sprayer you could have just painted it by hand in 10 minutes
