So I have a similar seed spreader. For seeding your plots is it to wasteful. I dont see a setting for pounds, so I guess you are just opening the door to a certain level. Concerned I will be overseeding or underseeding...how do you get it right.

I have a 4.6 ph plot I limed about two months ago to the recommended number from soil sample, how well is my clover gonna grow this year am I looking at average results due to the short amount of time ?

I would say average. Main thing is to get something growing in the ground. Build on it each year

What is the best way to spread lime if you don’t have a spreader? My plot is only 2000 square feet so maybe I could just spread by hand.

Dave watched your video on the new stealth cam fusion the rep you interviewed at the outdoor show said it would retail for $149.00 approx called several places there telling me when the camera is made available to the public it will retail for $199.00 approximately can you please get a clarification on this it’s obviously a substantial difference from what the rep quoted ty

I did a soil test and it was a 6.0 and the company recommended 7 tons of lime could I put 1 ton on it per year

7 tons per acre lol? What size field is it? You can put down wherever you can. It all helps.

Dave or Chris have a problem last year I went all out opened up a spot for 3/4 acre food plot planted winter rye worked out well also created new trails to get to & from hunting blinds trying not to be detected also put in two 110 gal water holes along a pretty active deer trail also did some hinge cutting for blouse/side cover the problem is the waterholes I have several black bears frequenting them not only to drink but take baths as well pretty comical but ther scaring the deer in the area hence a lot less deer movement where there once was substantial I don’t eat bear meat don’t normally shoot what I don’t eat so short of shooting them do you have any suggestions & no the waterholes are dog in so don’t really wanna remove them ki feel they are a useful tool in creating deer movement along trail which Leeds to my plot what do you guys think

Paul M hey Paul personally I wouldn’t be using water holes in areas that have bears for this reason. When are they hitting the water holes? Only thing you can do is cover them up for the majority of the time until you are ready to hunt. Either that or remove them.

I think what I would do is; fill the water holes with large boulders. Water still can be consumed from the voids...2 birds killed with one stone(pun intended) Water for drinking, but bears cant swim.😉 Bears are gonna keep drinking unless removed. My 2 cents....
