You’ll get the hang of it eventually, everything new takes practice. I spread 35 tons of gravel in the dark last night. We have another 30 tons coming tomorrow and a load of asphalt millings. You did a great job for just getting started on the new tractor. Be safe and enjoy it!

Nice video. Mike Morgan is an artist at spreading dirt and rock so I’ve been studying how he does it What seems to work the best is slowly waterfalling it out of your bucket as you drive backwards It is all a learning process I have already spread 150 tons on my property this year

Back dragging with the bucket in float mode also gives you more control than the box blade

I commented at the beginning of the video Your technique already improved by the end of the video

You're doing great. Plus it's fun to practice with the tractor, right? Interesting mirror design on the barn! Thanks for sharing. -Ed

Thank you. We get a lot of comments on the mirrors. Previous owners had peacocks. Don’t know. Anyway we are thinking of making them a feature of the farm.

Great video! I've heard some people having issues connecting the BB2048 to the iMatch. Did you have any of these issues? I'd really like a box blade and the BB2048 is heavier duty than the BB2048L, but I want to make sure it connects to the iMatch. Thanks! Edit - It looks like you have the BB2048 as opposed to the BB2048L?

I cannot speak for the other box blade your talking about. The box blade I have hooked right up with the I-Match no problems. Thanks for watching!!

Turned out good. It’s a learning curve and each time you do it, it will become more natural and easy.

K6 Outdoors has some good box blade videos as well, I imagine there's a good chance that was one of the videos you've seen. Angles were cool.

Can you describe how you set the angle of your blade? I’ve heard you want it angles forward for cutting and backward for spreading. I also learned that you want to run at a faster speed for the most effective spreading. Thanks. Great video.
@watkinstreefarm68803 жыл бұрын
To be completely honest I am still learning. You described it to a Tee. I have mine set backward right now to maintain what I have & it is working perfect. Tilting it more forward will pick up more rock but need to be careful not to pick up too much & leave bare spots. It is a learning process.

I have learned a lot with my 1025R I spread the gravel driving forward and do a light dump. I just bought a box blade and waiting on 10 ton of rock to finish off my drive/parking area. Practice makes perfect the more you work with it the better you get. I have had mine for 5 years now and love it and have about 500 hours on it.

Multiple angles are good and the picture in picture feature always works. What do you use for editing? No doubt that you need a lot of rocks to cover a driveway with about an inch!
