WOW, what a difference you have made in the Front Living Room....it FINALLY looks again like your old TRADITIONAL Home and even BETTER. The touches of the BLACK lamp shades really set the design, along with your former pieces of furniture; French chairs and wood table.... the flowers SOFTENS and CHEERS the room. I would have never thought to use such a massive crystal modern chandler.....it and the shutters are perfect. Design well done!

Praying for your sweet Chewy. One of my poodles had an autoimmune that affected his skin. I changed to only boiled chicken and vegetables and it helped. He did have to take apoquel daily, but definitely improved. The house is looking great!

I wanted to suggest trying cutting out all the scented plug ins, cleaners and candles in your home to see if it helps Chewy. The fragrance and chemicals in those things is really hard on the immune systems of pets and this has been backed up by science. Saying prayers for sweet Chewy's quick and full recovery!

I was so excited to see your video pop up. I do miss the style your old house but you are doing a great job getting your new home back to a beautiful style like your old home. I can so relate to what you’re saying about a new house not feeling like your home. We moved a year and a half ago and I was so upset that we had to leave our old house behind. It was beautiful and I put so much energy into making it ours. I’m convinced I’ll never love a house like that again. I’ve struggled so much with this new home because it just doesn’t feel like me. Hoping we can update the floors this year and make some cosmetic changes to the kitchen, I think that will really help this house feel like my home. It’s so hard to feel inspired when you’re in a space you don’t like and it definitely has effected my mood more than I’ve realized. Thanks for sharing your home journey with us and letting us know everything isn’t perfect all the time. Can’t wait to see all the changes you make along the way! I know it will turn out beautiful!

I have a bench like yours in your laundry room. I filled the lower shelf with baskets to look pretty, but still be functional and hide stuff.

In the old house I did think it was too too cluttered with all the furniture and decorations BUT this new house seems to give you more room to spread out and it’s looking AWESOME! New floors, paint, planning to use Beyond Paint on my kitchen cabinets, painting the walls, might use the Beyond Paint on a dining table and hutch reno...new sink, faucet, cabinet realignment, building out some walls to create a laundry/pantry room--we've got a lot planned!

May I suggest some wicker tub baskets for those shoes under the bench in your laundry room? Easy enough for them to throw their weekend sneakers into, great for garden boots or sports shoes. And open to allow them to breathe. 🤷‍♀️😊

Normally I would have already started my spring cleaning, but we are in the middle of home remodeling projects so I am just going to wait until everything is done. We decided to turn a room that we do not use into 2 rooms (laundry room and a walk in pantry). Then we have a wall that is getting removed in our kitchen, putting in a couple more cabinets, new flooring throughout our home and little remodeling in our bathroom. We did this over 20 years ago, so it is time to do it again. Hopefully we will be good for at least another 20 years. Happy remodeling!
