Those elderberries are EASY to root. I just cut some pencil sized sticks off a plant, and stuck them in the mud in the spring. They grew!

My peppers are also slow to grow. In fact, I thought the ones I planted were stunted so I started a whole other flat then a few days later my first flat started slowly growing. Now I have 64 various peppers growing. Lol. Oh well. Peppers for everyone! 😁

Peppers take a long long time to get going. They are the first things I plant and even 3 weeks later my tomatoes will shoot up past them. But they love the heat and your greenhouse will make them thrive. Love To see all the "baby" plants.. Great job..thanks for sharing.. :)

Try heat mats for your peppers. They like the heat just be careful not to let the greenhouse get two hot on a sunny day or all your plants will fry.

Watching your progress in the greenhouse very carefully! This is the first year with my teeny tiny 10x10 greenhouse and it has come with a BIG learning curve! Great info on the spinach....I will immediately remove mine from their heating mat! And a big thumbs up for the pepper and tomato seed....starting earlier would of been best, I will remember that for next year too.

OZARKMEL yes, spinach wants cooler temperatures. We had some that self seeded one year. It came up when the ground thawed but was still snowing here and there. It just kept going. 🙂

Hey, I was struggling with my peppers last year. They take longer to sprout and I didn't keep them warm enough. This year I am doing better at that. My tomatoes are doing well and peppers are just coming up. We're still 7 weeks till our last frost date so I'm going to work with some more seed planting indoors this week. We have an 8×10 greenhouse where I keep the seedlings and take them in the house when temperatures are to low in there. Happy Easter! And happy gardening! 🌷🌾🥀

love jet stars! started them almost 20 years ago. tremendous producer early and late. i rotate through 20 some varieties but jet stars are an every year delicious staple; give them room and they will fill it and give you tomatos. i wont get into the cherokee purple or carbons or even the summer gold or delicious or beefsteaks, rutgers, sweet 100, or any others! calundulas are great to have. they’ll reseed and your chickens should like them almost as much as marigolds. pepper talk another time! i have 20+ another good video! thank you

Peppers are extremely slow growers no matter what. I tend to start them as early as February and keep them warm in the greenhouse and under grow lights. They still take forevers to grow. It's August now and I still have a pepper plant that is still under a foot tall. Some are even slower than others.

I thought chick weed was great too. Now it's all over my garden. I'll be using a weed torch to fight it this year. It took over my parsnip bed last year so bad we won't have parsnips to eat this year. The chick weed must make millions of seeds per blossom.

Spinach is ptobably bolting more because of lack of room to grow, possibly heat as well. My greenhouse can hit 90 on a sunny day here in Indiana, even with the snow.Side note, if you have any issues with fungus or damping off use dried spaghnum moss. Even used to be used to treat wounds in the old days. Though I prefer nettle.

Living Traditions Homestead sounds good. I've been doing limited saving for a couple years now, pretty successful. Best advice is pick best looking fruit and harvest when ripe. Wash seeds with clean water spread thin and dry them out at room temp maybe dehydration if a lot of humidity in the air. I've only done peppers and tomatoes, and like you plan on doing more this year.

Living Traditions Homestead fair enough. As far as I know annuals really won't be affected unless in large quantities or in super close proximity. The perrenials are the ones that are harder to predict. I'll let you know if I have any issues with my plants. I have bees unlike years before. Sharing knowledge is key. Be well 👊🙏
