Hi Vincent, thank you for such a beautiful tribute to Dad. You held a special place in his heart and he got a great kick out of your great humour and zest for life. Dad and my whole family would have gladly exchanged all the hooks in the shop for the lifetime of friendship and support you have given. 60 or whatever age, you will always be that little boy to Dad that he gladly sent on your way fishing. Happy Birthday and get out and catch a fish. George.

Hi Vincent, Great to see you back for a new season ahead. Happy Birthday too. I'm 58 this week not long till the big 60 eh. I wonder if i will feel any different in 2 years time. As long as i have my fishing gear and channels like yours to watch i'm sure i will still be a happy contented man. I must apologise for not messaging much last season. I'm up at midnight each day for work and it's full on. Sad to hear the passing of Mr O' Connell. I remember him featured in your previous videos with his happy smiling face. Life is too short and as you always say be happy. Never a truer word Vincent as we don't know what lies ahead. Hopefully some big fish. Cheers for now Vincent. Stevie in Scotland.

Great to have you back Vincent and a happy 60th birthday to you. I see you have the same type of organization as myself when it comes to tackle storage! There's nothing worse than a jumbled mass of lures and spinners! I've just finished a week's fishing on the river Tay. Absolutely useless! One kelt and a trout. At least I didn't blank and it's better than work I suppose. Such a shame about Mr O'Connell. He looked like a great chap from what I've seen in your videos. 'Proper' fishing shops are few and far between these days. What a great story that was about those hooks and carrying a fifty-year guilt!! I bet you were a right little character! Hope you and the lads over there all have a great season and once again it's great to have you back.😄

Hi my friend always great to get a comment from you. Mr O Connell or Mr Murry as i called him was such a lovely man. I know you will appreciate this story Mr Murry told me. His dad was in his day a famous fisherman he was in a couple of clubs and fished competitions and had a big handy cap placed on him and still always won first prise. Mr Murry told me he was out fishing with his dad one day. It was a hot Summers Day and he caught nothing under the blue sky with the sun beaming down. He decided to sit down at the waters edge having his lunch. He was watching a cow standing in the middle of the river cooling down. His father was coming down the bank towards him and asked his son did he cast between the cows legs? Mr Murry said No. His father got close to the cow and cast his fly expertly between the cows legs and instantly hooked a monster of a trout and landed the great fish. He explained to his son that the big wary trout in the river had learnt that the cow is his friend and coming close to the cow he will get a free feed from the grubs and insects and little fish disturbed from the cow kicking up the mud and stones. The smaller trout are afraid of the cows but the big trout has learnt they are his friend. I never ever ever would have thought of casting next to the cow in the river. His dad must have been a fishing genius you would never ever think of such a thing. Hope next time your out you catch a monster salmon maybe between the cows legs. I know your going to give it a go.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Thanks for watching and commenting cheers for the chest. Best of luck for the new season salmon ninja. 😊
@salmonninja72235 ай бұрын
@@Vincentdonnelly5158 😂😂😂 Fantastic story! I'll cast my fly between anything's legs if it catches me a fish! It makes sense the cow disturbing the water. I know there's a thing called 'shuffling' which is illegal when you're fishing for grayling. You kick up the gravel/mud whilst wading and the grayling move in to feed. Mr O'Connell was clever as he got the cow to do the illegal act!😂
