SPRING MADNESS - Fly Fishing North Carolina

SPRING MADNESS is a short film put together from all of our Spring fishing trips. We got a chance to explore all over Western North Carolina and some of the rivers it holds but many many more are still to be explored. Dry flies were starting to get hot towards the end of the spring just getting us stoked for this summer.

Big Laurel creek in Madison co is a good one . Yall have probably fished it. We canoe it and take collapsible poles spinner rigged. Water lever is high tho or you cant get a boat down. Am sure when its low the fishing is better. We still catch a few. French Broad is really good for small mouth. Dont eat anything out of that river just fun to float and fish it

Great videos. I live in north charlotte area. Would you recommend a good stream in Western North Carolina to start my first steps on fly fishing? Looking for catch fish and take home.

I'm not familiar with streams that are catch and keep but any "delayed harvest" streams are catch and keep until the first weekend in October...but we always catch and release our fish.

We get a lot of joy in letting the fish go so they can get bigger for the next fisherman. That's just our preference.
