Well I love the way the DIY flower pots are looking…I think they will be beautiful when your plants are in them.. also that diffuser is so elegant and I’m interested in seeing what you think of it… I’m getting tired of the typical diffuser sticks … like you I love my house smelling good..

🦋🦋 I’m also in zone 6. My favorite easy-to-grow flowers are: 1. Hardy hibiscus 2. Oakleaf hydrangeas 3. Bloomerang dark purple lilac 4. Magenta rose of sharon 5. Witch hazel 6. Black Eye Susan Rudbeckia 7. Sedums 8. Coneflowers 9. Irises 10. Fothergilla The first five are best to be planted in the ground, while the final five may be planted in large pots. 🦋🦋 Hope this helps! 😀

❤ the scripture you read from your devotional book. My mom died in 2017 after a long illness and in while riding down the interstate in the funeral car on the way to her funeral those words came to my mind as we passed the military post where we lived when we first moved to this state in 1986. Now I’m sure in my lifetime I had heard that scripture before but at the time I had no clue where that came from. Now since then I have heard it many times; and I have a better understanding of why God brought it to my mind. It’s been a journey of learning to trust God. Removing myself from circles of people who just didn’t want me be in better circumstances than them. I’m thankful

Native milkweed may be another great option,too- just check with local nurseries for the best species for your area. ❤

Karen you are such a genuinely kind friend and I love your videos. I love this time of year when I can add color using flowers on my patio. FILLERS could be Coleus, Begonias, Dusty miller, Heliotrope, Lantana, Pentas, Petunia, Salvia. SPILLERS sprawl over the side of the container, softening its edges - like Bacopas, Nasturtium, Creeping Jenny, Sweet Potato vine, Licorice plant, Verbena. THRILLERS could be upright geranium, nicotiana and salvia. SPILLERS could be supertunia or asparagus fern the ideas are endless and fun.

Hello Karen, loved the video. I live in Nevada and it’s zone six. Cosmos are very easy to grow and in the fall the little birds love to eat the seeds. Zinnias are also easy to grow and they are amazing in the the color department. Butterfly….the butterfly is only beautiful because the caterpillar was brave. Be brave on your new adventure of gardening. I have been gardening since I was a kid and I learn something new all the time. Gardening brings beauty to our little corner of the world. The bloom all season and give lots of color. I use different colors, as I also love many colors outside. They are easy to care for and a plus, are perennial. Love your channel!
