Hi Karen! I’ve been MIA for a few months. A old Diaries of Karen vlog popped up in my suggested feed today and watched it. Then I came over to this recent video since I hadn’t watched in a while and just finished watching. There are a lot of channels out there but none like the 2 orchids. Even if you guys would have gone separate ways back in the day, you both would still stand out from the rest. Being together was just an added bonus. I truly believe that you alone can carry this channel and bring in a lot of subscribers and views. The caveat? Vlog old school. Hold the camera again bringing us into the experience. Being out and about with you as you held your camera was so immersive. I loved the recipes with aunt missy and your mom-in-law. Your evenings making dinner with the t.v on in the background while talking to us and sharing something like a thought or plan. It was so real, authentic and felt like we were true virtual friends. You being you, showing your ootd, sharing opinions and overcoming the day to day ups and downs with your wonderful personality was what drew us in. I completely understand sharing a whole lot of family can end up going negatively when there are toxic people in the world ready to criticize. Maybe just snippets of family. Like you say, we only see a small fraction of your life. The channel should be concentrated on you but snippets here and there of those in your life along with taking it old school is what viewers are looking for. Remember you always had what other channels don’t.((Hugs)) and hang in there. I’m still here even if I haven’t been watching so much lately.❤️

Yes, we do tend to evolve over time and I do love adding music to my videos, I always have. Gardening is a new hobby of mine and a lot of people do enjoy it, but I do more than just share gardening in my videos. I'm not quite sure what you mean about the seasons seem to limit me & what I do? I would love for you to share more of your thoughts on that. I guess I feel that if anything, I love the fact that in this stage of my life that I am enjoying ADDING more that brings me joy. I love being outside and this new hobby of gardening along with loving to decorate my home and outdoor living space, cook, enjoy family time, create new traditions, new beauty and fashion should be more of an inspiration to others than a hindrance. I am enhancing the seasons of my life, not limiting them. xo 💓

That vlog was when Lauren was celebrating her daughter's high school graduation and how she decorated and hosted her wonderful party!! I may not view your videos as they come out, but I do view when I can (and I do view each one!) I know things are different since Lauren is no longer vlogging along with you, but still, I promise you I will stayed tuned! For me, your stories are my relaxing time. I’m catching up with your channel after being away for a while. I used to watch your vlogs all the time and plan to again (just busy life w/ teens!)…I remember one in particular where you took us to the local deli you used when prepping for Thanksgiving. I have so much catching up to do! Moved to the Nashville area in early December, went back to LA for 2 1/2 months for work… back now in Tennessee…. I would love a once a week longer video!! Hi Karen, please don't get discouraged. Please don't stop making videos, I'd be super sad if I lost you as a friend. It was so upsetting that Lauren left, please don't leave us. I would love a longer formatted video once a week. Your older vlogs, The Diaries of Karen were my all time favorite. A video once a week will make people yearn for the next upcoming video, IMO. With all that said, you ultimately need to do what is going to make you happy. I appreciate all of your hard work & dedication to your channel. I understand that it's a lot of hard work & time making these videos. I hope you don't feel pressured by my comments, just wanted to let you know that i do enjoy your content. Looking forward to your next upload. ❤ May I ask what was it that made you start your KZbin channel? Hey Karen- long time Subscriber- have followed you & Lauren forever and loved everything you guys did!! I’ve not commented since you went solo but have been watching and enjoying what you post. Personally I enjoy the 2/wk Shortened videos as they’re short & sweet, but you have to do what works best for you and if it’s once a week and longer in length, then you do what works for you.
