When its a new season Ill take some Bows from one of the cedars in my yard bury the old wards under one of the grandfathers and make new ones with the bows and hang them over all my doors. Mostly cedar sage sweetgrass huckleberry bush palo santo and my hair. Thanks for the vid i love new ideas.

Hi! Slightly unrelated to the video, but I have become quite interested in the Wiccan and witchcraft path, and just wanted some advice on how not to approach it in a way that puts unnecessary constraints on my life. What draws me to it is the feeling of freedom that comes with connecting with nature on such a personal level, but once I go down the magick path I become obsessed with doing everything correctly, and being “witchy” enough. Then I back off because it has become stressful. I was brought up orthodox Christian, so perhaps this has some sort of role to play in my spiritual mentality.

this is a great question and one that I would like to answer more fully than I can in a comment. I will make a video on this soon that hopefully will give you the answer you're hoping for. In the meantime I will say that there really is no way of doing things incorrectly. I know that there seems to be a ton of rules that everyone must follow to a T but in all honesty these are just suggestions. Witchcraft is meant to be something that you build for yourself to bring you fulfillment and joy not something that is stressful or difficult. When I start to feel overwhelmed I usually clear my path of all the things that bring me stress and just engage with the things that bring me joy. This can be as simple as going on walks in nature or crafting herbal medicine every now and again when I'm inspired. My path becomes driven only by what I feel enticed to do and nothing more. Overtime it tends to grow but it doesn't have to. I know it's hard to feel comfortable doing minimal things or forging a path just on your own but I promise you that you can do no wrong by following what feels right and intriguing to you and not worrying about all the rest

they can be omitted or substituted for another protective herb such as blackberry (thorns), elder, or mullein to name a few. there are so many different protective herbs though so feel free to substitute with what you have or are able to get easily
