Thank you for sharing, your videos are always so calming, inspiring and peaceful. Even though I moved into my home several years ago, this video encouraged me to place an LED candle next to my laptop, as I work online at home. LED light may not be quite the same as a flame, but it's safer. I plan to place herbs and crystals around this candle to bring calmness to my work space. Peace and Happiness to you, Annie!

I’m so glad the KZbin algorithm brought me to this video (just showed up in my recommendations)! I’m new to the craft and still learning the ins and outs. But I have a question about this spell: what if you don’t have access to fresh herbs? Would using dried ingredients be suitable, or do the fresh flowers and herbs bring more strength to the spell (or does the spell’s effectiveness come from the strength of your intention)? Also, I want to thank you for mentioning a variety of different cleansing herbs: I’m personally uncomfortable using white sage or palo santo for cleansing, so thank you for sharing so many alternatives! Ok, I'm not a really a witch. Just wanting to know something. When you say to return the herbs to the Earth like burying. You also mentioned being sure that it's environmentally appropriate to do so. Hypothetically, if the herb was not safe to just bury, would it be ok to burn the herbs to ash in the hearth or outdoor fireplace before returning them to the Earth to make them more appropriate? Does that affect the spell or hearth in any way?

There are 2 main kinds of chamomile: Matricaria recutita also known as German Chamomile and Anthem nobilis also known as Roman or English Chamomile. They are both used in making chamomile tea and other chamomile products.

Been looking for just such a combination. Peace, calm and to ward off incoming negativity. Would anyone mind offering advice on ingredients? For example, which type of cinnamon is preferable, Cassia or Ceylon? Fresh chamomile isn't available yet. It's growing but it is only 1/4 inch high. Plenty of dried chamomile (flowers & leaves) are on hand, would this do? As the main element, I'm thinking this part is important. As for the lavender it is growing but not in bloom. Dried buds are on hand. Which element is more desirable? Lavender oil is in abundance as well. Other plants growing and accessible: rosemary, catnip, parsley, celery, kale, bronze fennel, dog fennel, lemon balm, basil, garden sage, white sage, blackberry (in bloom), pennywort, mullein, mimosa. Dried lavender flowers, rosehips, calendula, hawthorn berries, elderberries, jasmine, hibiscus and various roots are on hand but no chrysanthemum. Pine grow in abundance, there are some cedar started but no juniper. Grateful for any advice.

As far as I know, you can use whatever you have on hand. If you want to have a special magical component of a plant, but don't have said plant, just look up, which plant you have, that has the same components.

I think from your dried supply you could combine dried chamomile, lavender, calendula, rosehips and add to it pine, pine is very good for protection and cleansing, you could also add cloves for protection and comfort. Parsley is very good for hex breaking , rosemary will add an element of longevity to your spell. the best thing to do is gather the herbs that speak to your feeling and combine them. you can make an amulet with the dried ones xx
