Spring riding in Alaska with our Skoolie the 488inn and our portable hot tub

This is our first winter trip with our skoolie using the webasto heater. We brought our portable wood fired hot tub I built, and spent a few days riding our snow machines in the mountains.

Alaska may well end up becoming the last frontier of freedom. Preserve what you have up there folks. The freedom of open spaces, stakes and burgers on an open campfire and a hot tub to boot! That's living!

We live in the interior of Alaska which gets around 24” a yr, where we are riding is in the mtns 150 miles away

Could you show what you have in or on the fire for the hot tub hookup im in the process of doing this exact setup and Not sure of how im doing the heat set up yet

I have a video of how I built it ”Portable DIY hot tub build”. What it is is a stainless steel coil. If you are doing this it would work a lot better if the coil was vertical. So if you building one have water come into the coil on the bottom and leave the top. The reason why mine surges so much is because it’s making steam in the coil because it has restricted flow
