LOVE your real-time tutorials Lindsay … especially your landscapes. Bee-utiful as always. (I was always a big fan of you and Sarah’s lives years back as it was nice to be able to ask you questions while you painted). 👏

Hi Lindsay! This was so relaxing to watch! I like to watch you on the tv so I can see better so I don't normally comment bit I can see better. This is a beautiful painting and as usual I love hearing your calming voice And you make it look so smooth and easy to do. Also noticed all the different sizes of brushes! Wow! Very nice! Also watch your mothers day succulents again and of course that was good. Just a delightful painting! Thank you so very much! Have a nice night and happy crafting!

Love the tune!😁 Also, we've had random things fall, in closets, in the basement, in the bathroom. No reason, just vibrations, the house settling. Who knows.

I really loved this! Thank you 😊. I have a hurt back and love to watercolor but my back gets sore if I paint to much but I have nothing to do. So I'm glad I could watch you and get some pointers on painting a landscape. Beautiful! JK FLORIDA 🇺🇸 USA.

I am endlessly envious of your (and other professional artists') confidence to just go right in there and swipe in shadows. They're just blobs and squiggles, and if I were doing the EXACT same thing, I wouldn't be able to see anything but those individual shapes. And yet you guys do it, and it's beautifully natural! One of those things where I'm staring at you doing it, yet it still feels like the painting magically goes from abstract to realistic. I just finished a big painting that was way above my skill level, and I could not figure out the shadows. I fear those may always feel like voodoo that everyone else can do but me! Rambling aside, thank you for another video! I adore your landscapes. ♥

Such a pretty painting, and also such a pleasurable time watching and listening to your thought processes as you work. I really enjoy these types of tutorials, which is why I purchased so many of yours on Teachable, although I am ashamed to say that due to health issues rearing their ugly head, I can do little at the moment than simply watch and listen. The information you impart does stay with me though. I am due to move further north in Scotland to a fully wheelchair adapted property with room for a wee studio too!! It’s exciting, but somewhat chaotic, and not a little daunting as I will be a 3hr drive from anyone I know, and as I am now widowed, I will be living alone too. Speaking of studios, OMG, I really was very shocked to see the damage in the room of hoard, your heart must simply have sank! Having an award smashed up too, how awful, I’m so sorry Lindsay. Thank you again for taking the time to share your painting with us, and I truly hope you do not come across anything else damaged that is either expensive or dear to your heart, or both!! Take care, best wishes from a Scottish fan. 🎨🖌👩🏻🎨❤️

It was really helpful to see you do a painting in real time! Even though they are pricey, I really recommend Qor for travel palettes because they are very strong (so you don’t need much paint), but they dry quickly and don’t spill all over the palette. They also rewet very well.

Hullo Lindsay, A Really beautiful painting session and an accompanying painting too! I know many of us envy your color sense and knowledge of how your colors will look after you mix them! I am always wary of just plopping the color down on my paper, I do a lot of daubing on test paper off to the side of my main picture. I know I should be more confident, I am not. I believe it is because I have not painted with just one medium in many years. Switching back and forth to accommodate clients, has messed with my color sense as well as my sureness of purpose when applying/mixing color. I believe this is another concrete reason to watch your videos! Excellent techniques Lindsay, Thanks! Oh! I did follow the picture link, but was not able to figure out which picture was your reference, (My lack of FB knowledge most likely!)
@veryberry39 Жыл бұрын
I'm not Lindsay, but I feel confident enough to say that there's no right or wrong way to do things! She's been doing this all her life, so by this point she has that confidence because she does it every day. But there's absolutely no problem testing colors first! How else do you get the experience? :) I keep a Canson journal next to me all the time while I paint, so I can test both color and value before I put it on my painting. My own "should" is that I need to loosen up and not feel like every stroke is life or death, but there's a whole psychological reason underneath all that. Anyway, you might find that eventually, you're able to just put brush to paper with no tests in between, but even if you always do it, there's nothing wrong with it! :D (And I'm with you on the photo! I saw one that I thought might have been her inspiration, but otherwise wasn't sure! Then again, she makes her paintings so much more vibrant than photos that I find myself thinking "Oh I like this better than the original." 😅😂)
