I am digging that floral nightgown as a dress, flowy style. It seems right on the current trends. You could wear it like that for a while and then crop it later. Maybe even make it a 2pc like that shop did when you went to Paris!

Also I work for Target and the Who What Wear and Prologue brands have had wide leg for a few years now and have tons of high waist as well as the Wild Fable brand. They are the on trend higher end brands we have so keep checking!!

I have the same Zara sweater, I absolutely love it! I’ll look in the morning for the tag and tell you what it says. But I can say that I washed mine several times on the Delicates program in the washing machine and it was just fine.

So I totally think the night gown would be a nice two piece set. You could easily make a top by just cutting and hemming and a skirt with a simple elasticated waste and then wear it together or as separates best of both worlds maybe?!?! love the styling even if some of the pieces were fall. :)

I like the fuzzy shoes and even better they have a sole that can actually be worn outdoors. I been on the hunt for them but never find in my size. Wow! The Zara sweater that collar and then the sleeves..................oh my oh my oooooooo (excuse me I had a moment there). I like the cape ruffle sleeve on the nightgown, I like it loose and it has a pocket. It really cute on you and I like the buttons at the neck. Yeah I feel that more people are finding joy by expressing themselves through their clothing. I feel like I am back in the late 60s and 70s again even more songs with social consciousness are popular. Mother Oak your cutie baby acorn is growing so fast. I welcome the sweater because temp here in the morning is 40s and we might make it into the 50s but I doubt it. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.

I like the nightgown look, but I LOVE the chopped idea. We wore tops like that in the earlyish 70's. The sleeves were called butterfly sleeves, and the tops were cool, billowy, and ended a few inches below the waist. It's very comfortable, and I love the pattern on the nightgown. Maybe make a set?

Goodwill has a lot of Target over runs. I bought a dress from that brand Who What Wear at the GW. I like those pants and as wild as they are they would work with a lot in a wardrobe. I get you on the Birkenstock style sandals. I bought a pair of faux Birks in a rainbow gliitter...lol. I guess my inner 12 year old took over.

hahaha, loving the "10 things I hate about you" reference 😂 the ZARA sweater will probably be washable at 30°C... I doubt there's natural wool in there... European fast fashion brands hardly ever do, but just to be sure, use cold wash. Love the vintage nightgown! Less is more in this case - don't make it into a blouse, please! It's so cute!

Love the nightgown dress as is. Whenever I've modified vintage pieces I've always come to regret it down the line when my tastes and trends have changed and I long for the piece pre-modification. I'm also not entirely sure that it isn't a minor crime to chop up vintage items. Finding 'upcycled ' items that I would have loved I their un-cycled state makes me want to weep into my elbow crook x
