I was thrifting and looking at a pair of boots. I flipped them over to find the size and out dropped 2 $100.00 dollar bills! I kid you not! The boots were too small but I bought them anyway because those had to be my lucky boots. 😆

Orvis has been around for a long time. They sell high-end sorting goods...fishing equipment...and clothing, shoes, etc. That was may favorite of your finds because it goes with any skirt or shorts!

I went thru a serious vest phase about 25 years ago. Vests were my signature at that time. Your vest is awesome. Some if your favorite .mom jeans, a button down shirt ( white, red or some other color you like,) wear a brown belt. For shoes you could do converse or boots. The brown and cream in the vest will go with so many colors, I could tell you a bunch more outfits.

Love everything you got! I am a vest lover and have many in different shapes and forms. I love them with cute vintage blouses with lace details or ones you can tie in the neck. It looks girly and pretty. Also it would look great with a luxe sweater, like cashmere or something. I think this one would work well with deep forrest green or other jewel tones, rustcolor and also with white or cream.

Over 90% of my clothes are thrifted, but I just buy tank tops at Target. They're not $$, they're not stretched out, no stains. It's just simpler to buy them new. I guess they're almost in the undies category for me.

I sometimes feel more comfortable wearing shorter skirts or dresses with opaque black tights underneath, which isn't very practical, I guess... I was wondering, how do the prices compare there to San Fransisco? If your thrifting fun costs less, maybe grab a few extra shirts to cut and make your own tank styles. The candy cane dress is so cute on you. I wore mini dresses in my 30, 40, 50s but because of injury and pandemic last year, I officially did not workout and my legs are showing the neglect so probably giving it up at 59 but that will depend if they are able to snap back. You look cute in the minis but if it because right now you chasing around a toddler, I wore shorts or biker shorts to keep things private. I thrifted a few during mother's day weekend. Tee Hee But that my favorite item is the candy cane dress (and yes it does remind me of the NY Yankee stripes. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.

Trust me I'm from Rio and the key to good summer clothes is not only the short lenght but specially the fabric. Sure shorts and tanks help a lot but if your tank or blouse is made of polyester forget it. It's gonna be sooo uncomfortable. I can even wear medium lenght sleeves in the summer of Brazil (a whole lot hotter then 92oF) if they are cottom or linen (or viscose for modern clothes). Good luck adjusting. I will love the more summery looks from you.

Oh I loved the suede shorts!! I wasn't a fan of the floral button things on the plaid dress when you held it up...but when you actually had it on, they looked cute :) The sweater vest and the floral faux-wrap dress are also great. I totally understand not wanting to wear short dresses. I personally don't wear any skirts/dresses above the knee at this point. And shorts are almost out the door too. I can't imagine sitting down in a dress so short. I would be arrested LoL

I have had depressing thrifting days like that as well- but yours turned around quickly! Also in the same boat with what i WANT to wear vs. practicality and function i.e. breastfeeding! It's tough- I feel like I have a closet full of nothing to wear- and it goes like that until I am done nursing... I thrift a lot, but those buttons are hard to come by I guess! I found my boys a Melissa & Doug beaded wooden toy thrifting in Idaho as well! My guys like to pull it over and fight over it so I might need to wait a couple months on it. Orvis- haha! I am in Colorado, I wouldn't say its a NEW brand, not sure how long they have been around, but here they have a store and it has a reputation of being an "old person" store- haha- very outdoorsy, preppy but make it weekend, not sure how to describe it- but that is a cute top! I loved your house coat style dresses, and yes they are cool, comfy and breastfeeding friendly so YES YES YES! Nobody wants a hot, cranky, sweaty, uncomfy mommy.... Stay cool!

You could wear it zipped up with a plain black turtle neck tucked into super high waisted dark denim (i would go for a tight jean) and some frye boots if you have some. Obvi during winter haha or high waisted buisness paint (something similar to beth from b. Jones) with clogs

Style the vest with a button down shirt buttoned all the way to the top underneath tucked into high waist jeans and then your best cowboy boots. Add a flat brim hat too. Might as well go super desert with it. :-)
