Spring Valley: Pursuit Termination Ends Badly 05142024

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 5-14-24 9:00 am approx
LOCATION: Sweetwater Rd & Tyler
AREA/CITY: Spring Valley
DETAILS:
A Narcotics Task Force attempted to detain a male suspect in the parking lot of a shopping center. The suspect got into his car (white car) and fled onto Sweetwater Rd. heading north. The speeds were reaching over 75 mph.
At Tyler, The suspect attempted to go around a stopped vehicle and went head-on into several other vehicles. A total of 5 vehicles were involved. 2 major injuries (including the suspect), and several people had minor injuries.
Most were transported to local hospitals. Sweetwater Road is closed in both directions from Valencia to llidica St.

Especially on Jamacha Blvd. it never made sense putting an open bike lane there where drivers constantly drive 65mph and up. Especially the motorcyclist.

Stop the pursuits. The innocents get the worst of it, always. Unless someone is making a direct/immediate thread to the safety of someone in the car or to other drivers; this cops and robbers BS needs to stop. Just look at this!

Brilliant. So obeying the law becomes optional, if you want to break it you just take off when the police come. How about if we put the crooks who run from the police & endanger the public in prison for a minimum of 10 years. Make them think twice about running.
