@@avengernemesis7990 as a Bok fan I have huge respect for the AB. However our teams need to stick to our DNA. The Boks focus heavily on scrum dominance, set piece, strong line speed Defence, and yes a lot of kicking for territory and occasionally flash play out to the wings. When we stick to this other countries may call it boring, all I see is trophies piling up. When we change and try playing AB style or any other style (2010-2018) we were a bunch of losers. Both teams must play to their strengths. 100th test will be epic, good luck, may the best team win!!

@@alaing4276 they've always had good defense but over 80 minutes the speed of the defense slows down and in most cases thats where nz takeover sometimes in the last minute. Springboks defense have always been solid but they get tired by the end of it but your right the new direction they're taking this year reminds me of the south African team from 2055 to 2009 that to me were their best years. Botha, Burger, Matfield, DeVelliers, Fourie, steyn montgomery Habana and smit as cap I loved watching their games they made it hell for any team they played. Thats still my favorite team of all time but the last decade has been tough for them going through combinations injuries politics etc eben and motsert need to dominate so to the front row, give clean ball to steyn or leroux and they'll set up the try. Note Ahm is the best player in the springboks team imo but he always delivers so its gotta be eben and motsert. Put Snyman back in and start motsert at 8

I'm ABs fan but love the Spring bok team since the 80s. As a 70s kid who played rugby from 5 but stopped 23 due to Injury, family and other commitments, I was a lock or loose forward. The Boks play like I grew to love to play like in those positions. Characteristics like big, tough and explosive, fit, strong and powerful, fearless, skilled, game acumen, ultimate team player, all come to mind. Boks have always had those in large doses. I'm a fan of any team that shows these kinds of characteristics, and there's many countries that do. As a teenager, I use to just about cry if the ABs lost, but later, it became more about "may the best team win", anti cheating, giving merit where merit is due, being fair and unbiased, and not nepotistic for example, etc... "Gentleman off the field, not a Gentleman on the field"...

A shout out to Percy Montgomery and Ollie La Ru(?), many more too although a bit later on than your legend line up, but getting up in the middle of the night with my older brothers and Dad was straight next level excitement as a very young child (girl!). Possibly my earliest ever memories, the waaaaahs of massive crowds in stadiums literally on the other side of the world, the Scottish commentators voice, "the voice of Rugby" from around those times too. Love hearing his voice to this day (RIP) But the legendary Springboks were/(are) something else, they have always been NZs (only) constant sporting thorn in our side. They were straight out isolated for a few years and during those times, I remember there was a mythical-type aura around them and a story that they were the best Rugby players in the whole wide world --- if only we could play them. That enigma surrounded them in my world anyway. The 60s, 70s, 80s, hell countries boycotted the Olympics in the 70s just because we (NZ) were competing in it, and we had played again of Rugby against the South African Springbok!! All the political stuff that entered into it made for crazy times, Rebel tours, controversy a constant! No one will ever forget the 81 tour of NZ in our lifetime. The protestors, the riots, the violence, the brawls, its weird, it seems so shocking now but not so much then. SA have won 4 RWCs but people forget they were banned from 2 of them. Damn, we love to bet them, we hate to lose to them, but deep down we love and respect the Springboks, I would hate to think of a life without them in it. 🏴🏴🏴🖤🤍💚💛 ps shout out to this video too, although very bias, you gotta give it to those dam thug bokkies. South and Australia are always playing for 2nd place in the tru nations and now they're fighting for 2nd in the rugby championship. It's going to be a tough next 4 weeks for the Boks. 2 games vs Aus on their home soil, that's never easy and then 2 against ABs in Aus again. S Africans have forgotten what a crowd in a stadium looks like and it's not even going to be their crowd 😂 Joking aside, this is going to really test the Boks. They need to play a fine balancing game with player selection to not only try win the 2 games before facing NZ but also not over playing certain players as well as they'll need to reserve them for the even tougher NZ games. Unfortunate that a few key players are out with injuries, PSDT with his work on the field and Kolbe especially. Even RGS would be useful on the bench but if there were ever a team that mastered selection and when to change players it would be this Bok coaching team. It seems utility players have just become such a part of SA rugby and the whole game plan revolves around the players selected. But taking it 1 step at a time, can the Boks beat the wallabies? I think so. Going to be some good watching.

TBH it is not so much about selection off the field it is about how they bond as a team off the field. SA has always had massive divisions from colour, culture, religion, etc. But when they have leadership and coaching that can pull together and play on each of the strengths, they are unstoppable. This coaching team can do it, but for long trips on the road, it is more difficult.

If anything S Africans are probably the most accepting people in the world of different races, cultures, religions etc It comes part of the parcel with living in Africa for centuries. I find certain European countries like England struggle to work with black Africans but I have never known that with white S Africans. Don't let the useless politicians and their communist agendas fool you into thinking people are racist in SA. In my part of the country alot of the white people speak the local bantu languages better than the blacks do and it's often the black people who are most likely to stop and help a white person. So I have no idea where you sucked that out of especially in a squad where they all know each other, played against each other, went to school together etc

@@pjpomare3598 Well, no one's taking anything for granted and both teams know where their strengths are. Even if the Boks had to slow the game right down like the did against the B&I lions. Interesting having Quade Cooper there, Aus have won the last 8 out of 10 games in Aus. Think last time SA won in Aus was 2013 but If there are no surprises and SA stuck to their strengths then I'm giving the Boks a win, don't know about a bonus point but then again it is the Wallabies, it's so difficult to work them out, I do think they have a much improved kicking game and not try run it from their own line as they did against NZ. They will try do what they said, "run SA off their feet" and will really test the Bok defence.
