I wish that they had tried to return Luna, an orphaned whale in a similar situation around the same time not far from Seatle. Luna met with a terrible death which could have possibly been avoided if they had tried to. return him to his pod. However, they never really put the effort to move him until he was older and less likely to be successfully reintegrated to his pod. Sad..

Nunna U. Yes, I agree. It's really heartbreaking when we lose an Orca. Every single one of them is precious and very special.

I am still waiting on release of Lolita . She won her freedom in march 2023. Sad she lives in terrible conditions. 57 years old been in captivity since being a calf .

I was there during this time and Springer was so sweet. I was on a farm nearby working with the department of agriculture. I would bring Springer a large pig once a week. We would toss the pig in of the boat and Springer really enjoyed eating the pig. The authorities made us stop but Springer really enjoyed our once a week visits, while they lasted.

Watching utube even if this was true only one ☝️ pig a week wouldn’t sustain even the smallest baby orca, BUT THEY DEFINITELY HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO ENJOY PIGS 🐖 shark 🦈 `dive boats and all sorts of other people have had their pig baits stolen by clever orca... and once they learn it... they keep coming back 😂 I suppose it’s rather irritating 😠 though if you need them out of the way to attract your target species! 😂

Every time they take a closeup of her eye...if looks could kill, boy... Poor little critter. :( But I understand she's been sighted with her natal pod in her home waters. Thank goodness she survived. And thank goodness nobody had the idea to send her to a goddamn SeaCircus. (I very much like your screen name, btw :thumbsup: )
