Yo peeps,
I'm no stranger to the fact that guns in this country is a highly controversial topic, and I for one am somewhat conflicted about the entire concept. If you want to have an insight to my philosophy on guns and carrying them, particularly out in adventure scenarios, take a look at my video linked below.
This isn't a new direction for this channel, rather it coincides with everything that this channel is about, setting out and adventuring. It's a dangerous world out there, and choosing to protect oneself with the means of a firearm is not something that I have taken lightly.
As for the weapon I've chosen, it's about the best option out there that I've discovered and I'm quite enjoying it! Here's what I think about it! Enjoy...

I just bought one a few days ago. Have been carrying a hellcat pro so I figured I may as well get it's smaller brother. The extra mags and range bag didn't hurt in my decision to buy it. Can remove the spacer on the 2 15 round mags and use them in the hellcat pro. I put an apex trigger in the hellcat today. It's a much nicer feeling trigger than the stock trigger. Well worth the $85. I purchased my hellcat a month ago and put 300 rounds through it in 2 separate range sessions. I see that you were not doing so well with the accuracy aspect while using this firearm. For me, I have noticed that it is pretty spot on for a subcompact with traverse (left and right) alignment of sights and shot placement however I have to aim over and above my desired point of impact especially at distances over 20-25 feet. I find that the isosceles stance while leaning forward center of gravity works the best with this firearm due to its hard muzzle flip and considerably hard recoil for a 9mm. Particular attention needs to be made with gripping the firearm as well. (Push / pull method) is important when firing rapidly to keep muzzle flip down while still making strikes on target. both eyes open is a must as well due to having to aim over desired point of impact. all in all, a good, concealed carry gun. My carry gun prior to this was a 5+1 Springfield xds 45 which I carried since 2012. Refuse to get rid of the xds 45 it's just been retired to my bedside gun on my nightstand. it doesn't leave the house anymore.

I know I'm late to the party, but want to comment. I have, carry and love my hellcat. 15 round mags with +2 base plates for 17+1. But all that said this is not a good gun for a first time gun owner! You are not the average first gun buyer!! No manual safety and very snappy. Same for any Glock. Any gun should be carried locked and loaded, especially the inexperienced! Get a couple yrs of training shooting thousands of rounds then move into a hellcat or Glock or SIG, insert most striker fired pistols without a manual safety. My two cents. Other then that, this with a trigicon a better trigger and 18 rounds makes it a phenomenal firearm I trust my and mine with everyday. Also an upgraded spring kit can tame that snap some. Actually a leg holster riding a bike makes a lot of sense, and I'm not a huge fan of leg/ankle holsters
@CaptMaxADV
@CaptMaxADV Жыл бұрын
Cool. It’s gets me by! As fun as shooting a few thousand rounds and getting all the training in the world sounds, I don’t plan to anytime soon. And in the mean time this little firearm suits me perfectly! Everywhere I go, particularly outdoors. I never keep in locked and loaded though, so if it ever comes down to a gun fight I’ll be troubled with cocking the slide and hope I don’t die! But it beats the risk of accidentally blowing a hole in my femoral artery on a daily basis! There is such a variety of folks who carry, where to and how. A lot of folks have a ton of experience, and that’s great! But a basic comfortability and safe handling should be enough to give most folks the edge they need in this big bad world most of the time. Depends on where you frequent I suppose… anyway, great gun! And thanks for your input! 🙌🏻

I question whether this would affect one's ability to really trust their life with it while being accurate and safe as a primary carry choice. I've decided to get something a little bigger, I'm specifically eyeing the M&P 2.0 Compact 4in or 4.6in barrel

Hey Jeremy! Welcome to the firearms community. Glad to see a fellow Utahn exercising rights. I agree that training will be great in teaching you how to use your firearm, but safety safety safety always comes first. Uhhh for what? Would you like to see the video where my neighbor and I lay waste to a mountain of bottles with full auto Max 11’s in the same spot? It’s a hill. You can shoot guns around hills. 🤣

Maybe. Might just be a visual illusion. Anyway, 1.5 years in and I’ve shot maybe 75 rounds through this little gun. Im not a big shooter. But it sure gives me comfort to have it!

All I can say is if you are thinking of buying a Hellcat. Make sure you pull that trigger as much as you can before you buy give it a thorough run through so you know it's safe and works for you. Above all it's a safety issue. I trust my 40 plus years of shooting experience to know there was a problem with mine. If you purchase this gun I hope it is safe and you enjoy it. Also my experience in dealing with Springfield was the worst I've ever had with any firearms manufacturer. Stay Safe.

@Richard Rodriguez the 365 is a very good gun man. I own both including the 365xl and they r better shooters as far as snappiness.

the most inaccurate gun on the planet. no excuse for being micro compact junk. P365X is same size and accurate as heck. there is a design flaw with these Hellcats.

New owner here. Why does the gun manual suggest we first load an empty mag into the gun, pull the slide back, drop the mag, and then load with full mag? This seems redundant as we could just load with full mag the first time like you did.
