Had my first session with the XD9. I read somewhere that the trigger operates close to an SA which means the slide sets the striker. Results are nice light pulls. Glad I chose this over Glock 17. Saved a couple hundred as well.

Congratulations on your new pistol! I'm personally a fan of both the XD and Glock pistols. The thing I hear most people say they like about the XD's is that they have the same grip angle as a 1911 which some folks prefer since you point at the target with your index finger and not your thumbs like with Glocks which are slightly more angled. @@GigatonsGunworks I could not get comfortable with the Glock hump. I also could not reach mag release without rotating the handle. Next time at the range, I will rent a 17 and do a comparo.

This one is a Big Dawg Target. It's their 12" x 18" triple silhouette reactive splatter target. I buy them in bulk on Amazon. They also sell this target in a larger 18" x 24" size that I am also a big fan of.

I am preparing to shoot footage of both AR and AK platform guns in the coming weeks and months. I have been saving those for a trip to a different range that's better suited for centerfire rifles as well as shotguns. It's a longer distance drive for me and not as convenient to get to as this nearby indoor range where I film most of my pistols. I will also be filming some pistol caliber carbine rifles at this indoor range up-and-coming. Thanks for stopping by and the request!
