I am from the USA. I own an original M1 Garand. I also have one of these replicas. It is great fun. It also is a good way to practice with a similar weight gun and sights at a fraction the price to shoot.

Great review, that big plastic lump on the top put me off to be honest. I've looked at it a few times. I think maybe it's too historically correct for me. It does seem to be a good rifle though.

A real steel Military M14 or Commercial M1A has that brown top cover and it was/is made from GRP - Glass Reinforced PLASTIC!!!!!

It's an M1A/M14. The " A" being the civilian version designation. I have the .22 version. Pyramid air lists it as 9.9lbs. It's a hefty bugger, but old school military rifles were just that. Some of the real military version parts fit this one. Like the flip-up butt plate. But they always seem to be out of stock. It takes a bit of doing to fit the real sling to it though.

another springer?? very nice. I've recently bought my first pcp, non regulated. I'm not sure how i feel about pcp's. I've noticed if its not one of the top end pcp's, i find it almost cumbersome and its not accurate - springers and break barrels are much more convenient and I'm pretty accurate with my springer from 25m, your thoughts on this?

While my rm8 PCP is pin point accurate and consistently so, I find I always end up falling back to my BSA lightning Springer for pest control, it is ALWAYS ready to go, much narrower (no big bottle and bolt handle to worry about knocking in to thinks lining up an awkward shot) and I dont have to check the pressure, or load up a mag when I see some vermin having his breakfast..

Mmmm Funnily enough I have the Mauser 98k Underlever by Diana and Although Quite Heavy Is pretty Consistent at 25/ 30 yds so I watched this with some interest The Breech is Similar But the Mainspring Sounds like it has got a bit of a Buzz to it which rather needs a bit of tuning! ..Why such light Pellets though? Try the JSB 15 Grain They seem to work better than the really light stuff for me Cheers all the same Andy

I just saw this is for sale in my local sporting shop, and I thought I'd check out some videos first to see if it's worth buying. When it comes to airSOFT, there are many guns available with semi-auto, full-auto or bolt-action capabilities, but I've been unable to find any air rifles in my price range that can fire more than 1 pellet before then having to reload. Is this normal for air rifles and a deliberate feature, perhaps for safety? Or do you have to be paying a lot more for guns with those capabilities? Thanks

A great review . I went and bought one . Love the rifle , however a pellet dropped out of the barrel and damaged the breech seal . I was told by the dealer and distributor that no spare breech seals are available. I now have a brand new totally unusable rifle . Not impressed . Shouldn’t sell them if there is absolutely no spares back up !

Are u sure it’s not an M1 Garand copy. The M14 was of course an m1 clone in 7.62 nato instead of 30-06 and with a 20 rnd removable box mag as opposed to m’bloc clips of the m1

The M14 has a different gas system from the M1 and a roller on the bolt.

It sounds like the faux flash hider is actually a suppressor which would explain why the 'slots' are closed off, certain suppressors don't actually need baffles, the allowance of gas/air expansion in a hollow chamber is enough provided the exit hole is small enough.

Of course you know a sight adapter is available, I use one myself. Wish it had a magazine though. Nice rifle, gets heavy after a while, and a sling helps to steady the aim, excellent report

Yes, a scope rail is available if you search the airsoft sites. Fitting a scope to it would be a bit like making a poor-man's HW77 (similar weight and power) but it would probably be better tuned down and used for what it's designed for, a fun gun. Remember boys and girls, guns are fun 😁

I'm Sorry but... I have to correct you a bit. The Gamo is not a spring device. It is a IGT loaded air gun. IGT is "Inert Gas Technology" where the spring is replaced with a gas cylinder.

You're funny! Here in Germany, the rules are often very rigid and do not allow for humor. If I showed up at the rifle club wearing a military helmet, I would be banned from shooting immediately. They are very sensitive here. This air pressure weapon, which is based on the military, is not permitted in every association and people look at it askance. I really like shooting the original - if it "pings" then your opponent knows that the clip has been ejected and you haven't loaded any ammo hahahaha. Any chance of a review of the BSA Goldstar. I’ve dumped my golf bats and push iron and I’m now going back to shooting, target shooting not bunny blasting. There seems to be so many manufacturers now. We used m14s as a ceremonial weapon during my time in an Air Force honor guard here in the states. This would be an excellent display piece for my office and I wouldn't have to worry about kids getting a hold of it, short of them trying to butt stroke each other with it🤣.

No, you need to replace it with a flash hider from CYMA Metal Front Sight Set for For M4 M16 Series AEG. It needs to be reamed out a bit and a tight fit so that it hods the barrel nut in place. That's what I have done.

What's this?.. Hmm... Underlever replica rifle? With even moving mock parts? .. SWEET!!! A damn nice underlever pellet rifle indeed! Not into these myself personally - but I surely think this would be a very good collectable for anyone in the area of interest of these kind of replicas. Seems way good - even though those brass threads kinda ruins partially the looks. But those could possibly be painted black or then covered with plastic thread covers if so wanted.

Good looking replica only let down by the out of place brown plastic piece, why didn't they make it black? If i buy one, that brown plastic will be changing colour. Also the lack of any means of mounting a scope without an adapter limits the guns range and use. But it's not intended for pest control use. I much prefer underlevers to break barrels, they look far more authentic especially on a replica. I think this is one of those guns that you want to see it before buying. I bought one about a month ago & after cleaning the barrel & bedded in I found it just as accurate as my friends weihrauch under lever at 25mtrs.

Yes the original has a composite cover but they did put some effort into matching colors. Unlike this one which looks like they used the cheapest stuff possible with no resemblance of wood at all. Thanks for the Review / Warning on this one.
