Was the bed comfy ? How much do chair rentals on the beach cost ? Thanks

Bed was comfy. Beach chair cost is negotiable. Or son was able to get 4 chairs for $80 for the weekend and his friend didn't try to talk the life guard down and paid $40 for 1 chair for the same weekend.

@@TravelingNickels We are currently booked at The Marriott Dunes ( the hotel not the timeshares) and they have $25 resort fee/day that includes parking so not bad but SEVERAL people on recent trip Advisor reviews have said beach chairs/Umbrella are $55/day That's crazy, Clearwater beach and Marco Island are like $40 a day....... The Marriott Pool looks beautiful but I'm guessing all the pools at the Springhill and Breakers pool will be good

@@MB-rr1fb The pools and amenities are great at this location. The chairs can get expensive and I agree it is hyway robbery. also a not about Myrtle Beach if you take your own umbrellas or shelters, you are not allowed to put them in front of the paid chairs and they can be really strict during peak seasons. If your lucky at some resorts/hotels they will provide the chairs and umbrellas for you like Emerald Grande in Destin, FL.

@@TravelingNickels Ok So I called the Marriott to cancel our reservation and when they asked why I said the price of the beach chairs at their property was crazy and shockingly they agreed. They also told me The cost of beach chairs is determined by Myrtle Beach and may fluctuate throughout the year and gave me a # to call to verify. Sure enough prices are pre set and i was assured the price is the same at the beach in front of every hotel. Seems the lifeguards in front of Springhill may be running a "side business" and pocketing cash if they allowed anyone to negotiate. Given that info we are staying at Marriott as we are paying in points and it's only 8K more points per night.
