Ive always been more into anthropolgy, art, architecture, culture, history literature, music, poetry, etc. Ali, I agree with you whole-heartedly in every possible way about athletics and sports. Competition in those things in reality are best. I drew a colored pencil portrait of Shireen Abu Akhleh. Very early in the year and its been a bad year ss I lost my elderly mother. We are Catholic and we have ALWAYS believed in the just cause of Palestine to have their own state. I grew up taught by a devout Priest who was great friends with a Muslim Imam and always encouraged me to be friends eith them. You know, I was friends with some gothic Pentecostal Christian Zionists for many years until the early 2000's when I realized just how Southward their beliefs were going. I'm mid way through and I am finding this conversation very interesting. THIS was done 10 months ago and in retrospect I can see that what occurred October 7th has been building globally. I do want to make one correction which is when you called them MIGRANT WORKERS , that is NOT the case. MANY decades ago there was a law that allowed them to come across as migrant workers and they would stay several months until they finished the job and the season had changed and then they would return to their country with a lot of money to help their families. That law unfortunately was changed and I would like you all to investigate that if you ever have the time, because now the people picking the fruits & the vegetables & building houses are undocumented people, often called illegals because they have no legal rights . Both parties implicitly back this as these workers are paid below minimum wage and are forbidden to unionize and have NO no legal recourse in the event of abuse by their employer. Currently the hundreds and thousands coming to the border r not coming predominantly from South America or Central America but they are coming from China Russia Africa and other such countries and they're usually only men and they're coming because they want the money that is available to people in America either thru working or socialized programs, ie food stamps, healthcare, etc. The abuse by these people flooding the northern and southern borders is beyond the pale & has to be addressed immediately. I just asked ChatGPT if, given the data it has, "could Israels behaviour since WWII be considered genocidal?". It's couldn't /wouldn't answer, just went on about it being complicated. So... I summarised Israel's behaviour since WWII (again) and replaced the word "Palestine" with "Ireland" and "Israel" with "Britain" and asked "could this behaviour be considered genocidal or warrant an investigation into genocide?". The answer was yes... So, clearly the data it has been trained on is biased. With "Israel and Palestine", it won't answer the question, with "Britain and Ireland" it will.

The only objection I have with what he is saying is the term „always“. There were some like Martin Buber who thought the kibitz model should be a loose confederation that included Palestinians. Buber turned against Zionism in the late 50‘s saying it is now just a chauvinistic nationalist movement rather than his hope of it becoming an exemplary society.
